Went to Africa Alive beginning of February. We were very lucky only about 20 people in the whole place. Great selection of animals and able to get very close to some of the animals. Really enjoyed the Lion Talk which we were surprised still went ahead with so few people there. Not as big as other zoos but still big... More

Great day out – 2 grandparents, 2 parents and 3 children 9, 6 and 2. Lots to do and see, and a good range of animals, all in good condition and looking well cared for in clean quarters; lions, giraffes, cheetas and rhino especially noteworthy. No elephants or camels though. Lots of interactive action including feeding events, educational talks about... More

This is a good day out for animal lovers, although make sure you go in good weather, otherwise the animals won't be out.

My wife and I accompanied my daughter and husband and our granddaughter on the 14th February this year on a visit. The two for one offer made the entrance fee more reasonable in my view as we had travelled about 30 miles to the venue. The zoo is well laid out and is easy to get round. The site is... More

I usually go just as a parent but this time it was a little more, i wanted to check it out for future events with the agency i work for. We are looking to bring many children along during the summer & i had the wonderful job of checking it out! I wasnt disappointed, its a great place for people... More

Very heartbreaking visiting the grounds this time of the year. The atmosphere of sadness. The animals looked like they had small cramped enclosures when they're not allowed to roam as they do in the summer and you could see how it effected the animals. Firstly, the lonley rhino. My heart broke into pieces. Stood there by the gate and wouldn't... More

I am sure it will not be a surprise that we disagree with the content of this comment and are confident that the majority of our visitors would disagree that there is an atmosphere of sadness at the park. Interestingly we actually ask for feedback from our visitors on how they feel about the park in general and 98% rate... More

This is an affordable zoo and it takes Tesco Vouchers. The animals all look well cared for and there is a road train, indoor and outdoor play areas and mini golf if the animals aren't enough to keep your children entertained all day. We went in February school holiday and it was far from crowded, so it was easy to... More

Spent a lovely day at Africa Alive. Didn't feel the price was too exorbitant and spent a lot longer there than I had thought we would. An excellent collection of animals, lots of information available and the talks and displays were well worth making the effort to get to. Great for adults and children alike. Staff were very pleasant and... More
