Nice small zoo. The weather was really cold so there weren't many visitors and we had brilliant views of all the animals. The highlight was the lions - can get really close to see them. Food pretty good for this sort of place.

Had a lovely time walking around the park, looking at all the different types of animals and reading about them, even keeper talks!! Was nice to walk though the Lima enclosure and to pet the goats in the small animals corner. Nice day out for any ages, pathways around the park also a train!

Fantastic zoo, we went here and although we started with the monkeys and farm animals i at first thought the zoo was small but after jumping on the land train and having a very knowledgable tour we realised the extent of its size. What we all came away with is the closeness of the animals. I have never stood so... More

Great day to see Africas animals up close. We made it to the feeding times of quite a few of the animals and were pleased to hear a bit about the animals from the keepers, who genuinely appeared to enjoy their job. It was incredibly quiet when we visited and this meant that there were no queues. Would recommend.

I am a Banham Zoo season ticket holder, so get into Africa Alive for free too. We have been here a few times, but really would not pay the price to get in if it wasn't for the season ticket. Although they have a lot of different animals from Banham such as rhinos, lions etc, I find that everything at... More

Went to Africa Alive beginning of February. We were very lucky only about 20 people in the whole place. Great selection of animals and able to get very close to some of the animals. Really enjoyed the Lion Talk which we were surprised still went ahead with so few people there. Not as big as other zoos but still big... More

Great day out – 2 grandparents, 2 parents and 3 children 9, 6 and 2. Lots to do and see, and a good range of animals, all in good condition and looking well cared for in clean quarters; lions, giraffes, cheetas and rhino especially noteworthy. No elephants or camels though. Lots of interactive action including feeding events, educational talks about... More

This is a good day out for animal lovers, although make sure you go in good weather, otherwise the animals won't be out.
