A very quite morning with not a lot of other visitors. Perfect for kids who loved running around and explore.

Beautiful surroundings and lots of really interesting information on the castle by way of the audio tour. Something for everyone, interesting history and the dark spiral staircase to the top of the keep is an experience in itself. The views from the top are amazing. Very reasonable entrance fee for a morning/afternoons entertainment. My 10 year old loves it and... More

Great place to wander around and kill a few hours. Climbing to the top of the keep is narrow but worth it for the view. only bad point we found is no bins up by the castle. We took the dog with us and no where to put the dog bags until we got back down.

A wonderful location, approached on foot, massive, imposing, interesting history with a pleasant café and easy parking - Goodrich has it made for any castle buff - its like the model castle kids love.

Interesting old castle and the audio tour really brings medieval times alive. Good café too. Although there is wheelchair access you need to be able bodied to see everything.

A great example of a Medieval castle, brought to life really well with the audio guide. Not cheap as is the case with English Heritage locations, but very enjoyable and worth the money. Good coffee shop offering lunch and gift shop. Sadly a rather officious staff member tainted our visit slightly when on the way out refused us use of... More

Visited on a gorgeous sunny day. Castle was very impressive. Staff were extremely helpful & friendly and made a big fuss of our dog. Dogs allowed on lead round castle & gift shop. Sat outside café. Only had a coffee but food looked gorgeous. Thoroughly enjoyable visit.

It was a very nice visit with friendly staff. The castle is lovely to look around and took about 1 and half hours with the audio tour.
