Have not been here for years .Enjoyable time ,plenty of atmosphere ,not too crowded being midweek.Museum a new attraction and very informative .Can not help but admire the amount of work undertaken and what they have managed to achieve .Good value for money since once a ticket is purchased you could go up and down the line all day.

Been coming to the Bluebell since I was a kid. I was slightly let down on this trip. Usually all the staff are so happy and cheery and want to talk and interact with everyone even if it is just a passing smile. They seemed only to interact with each other or with friends of theirs and seemed to ignore... More

What a wonderful experience. When they say silver service, they really mean it. The quality and presentation of the food, bearing in mind we were on a train, was superb. The staff were very friendly and the atmosphere on our carriage showed us Brits off at our eccentric best!! Men were dressed in everything from DJ's to straw boaters and... More

The extension to East Grinstead has now been completed at a great cost in money and effort. The views whilst crossing the viaduct outside East Grinstead are superb and offer a new dimension. Elsewhere it is "more of the same". With financial and labour resources concentrated on extending there is a sense that some other aspects have become a tad... More

A very enjoyable visit, everything very in keeping with the era, lovely loco's and carriages, running generally on time. An eleven mile line running to East Grinstead with two intermediate stations. Staff very helpful. Very easy to spend a full day people watching and traveling the line. A credit to all the hard work and money put in by the... More

This is a great place for a day out. The attention to detail and commitment by the volunteers is outstanding. Lovely food on the cafe and a great atmosphere. The dvd presentation was really interesting too

It was a good day out but quite expensive, no reductions for OAP's!! £16.00 each.......but you do get to see the trains in the sheds, and on the lines, travel on one and it has now been extended to East Grinstead. Relaxing ride on the train through lovely countryside. Great picnic area just outside the main station at Sheffield Park.

This is a reall hidden little gem off the beaten track and well worth the trouble to take the time to go and see it.The main station is Sheffield Parkwhich is a wonderful recreation of yesteryear. One tends to think of the Railway Children or one of the famous Poirot detective films as the travel is of a bygone era.Engines and... We attended the opening weekend of the new East Grinstead to Kingscote extension line and pre-booked six tickets for any trains departing on the Saturday. Everything was great on the day - really enjoyed it and the volunteer staff onboard the train were a real asset to this heritage railay. My only complaint concerns the telephone calls i made to... we waited a considerable time for the train to arrive. I suppose the weather being bad did not help at all. Those on general enquiries are a little bit lacking in information or need their batteries changing as it was very slow in forthcoming. The ride itself was ok but I would put it no higher than that. Some kids... More
