My wife and I choose to go regularly, probably 6 times a year. The gardens offer something different every time, especially in Summer when walking off the main paths can be a delight. I agree with another recent reviewer that the paths can be a bit mucky after heavy rain. There are many outstanding views from various points and we... More

A lovely place for a wander especially in the autumn when the colours are spectacular. The area around the park that are free are worth a visit too.

We had a trip to Sheffield park in summer and it was a nice day break from rain in autumn time to revisit. Its a great place for all folk with families and all ages for a nice walk to see the colors of the various maple trees as they paint the horizon along some of the pond's aptly named... More

A great place for autumn colours. The garden can be a bit muddy underfoot in wet weather, so walking boots are advisable. The only slightly minus point is the cafe, which is about 300 yards from the main entrance to the gardens. The service can be a little slow due mainly to its popularity. The menu choice is limited but... More

Visited late October and autumn colours beautfiul. The many lakes make this location very special and the reflections of the autumn colours are stunning. Lovely walks around the lakes. Downside... parking ....!!! had a long wait to get in and park.

This National Trust property is a must for gardeners , photographers and walkers. The colours are spectacular and are all reflected in the lakes. There are many varieties of trees, shrubs and acers spread over the whole park so you don't have to walk far to see them. Paths for wheelchairs are marked. The park is worth visiting all year... NT policy these days places an increased emphasis on attracting families, those from the inner city estates & from broader ethnic groups. Rightly so and all very PC but a complete pain when the kids are on holiday. Sheffield Park IS a joy if you choose the right time. The café lets the place down as it is entirely without... More

If you visit Sheffield Park in the autumn you will not be disappointed. It is superb for capturing some lovely pictures and reflections across the lakes. Again the summer is also very attractive with the water lily`s for a great foreground across the lake. As this is a National Trust venue the entry and car park are free for members.... More

Stunning autumn colours, we had a great family day out, our party consisted of ten ranging from age two to eighty, something for everyone. The kids loved climbing the trees. There were a few activities for them included in the price. Not much focus on Halloween which we were very pleased about as we do not celebrate it. We also... More

Really amazing autumn colours at the moment and huge number of unusual species of trees to see. Halloween half term was extra busy with families following the pumpkin trail, so you need to go off the main tracks for quieter walks but the park is large and there are a great range of walks around to accommodate all. For families... More
