My wife and I are members of the NT and decided to call in on our way to relatives at Tunbridge Wells. We were in our motor home and the place was already very busy when we arrived at 11am. A very helpful member of staff directed us to an area reserved for coaches and assisted us to park. The... More

Wanted to visit sometime where near Ashdown Forest so found this place on Google, we got there early about 10.30 am great as the park wasn't too busy. The grounds were lovely with easy walking routes, lakes and ducks, fab place to take the family. Good carrot cake in the tea room

We visited Sheffield Park during the Easter school holidays. The staff were very knowledgeable and helpful. There were plenty of trees marked with ribbons so that the children could climb them and mark off some more of their 50 Things to do before your 11 & 3/4. The egg hunt took us around quite a lot of the garden. There... More

Visited with family over Easter after a trip on the Bluebell Railway. Short (1/2 mile) walk across a field from Sheffield Park station...mostly uphill but well worth the climb. Lovely gardens and nice tearooms. Would like to visit a little later in the year when more leaves are on the trees but still beautiful none the less.

A delightful park reached by the Bluebell Heritage Railroad. A short refreshing walk from the Sheffield Park Station to the gardens which are in full autumn glory by mid October. Visitors come specially in autumn to Sheffield Park to see the autumn colors & the several varieties of Acer trees. The golden beauty of the bitter-nut hickory in the park... More

Since boycotting Wakehurst Place, after the introduction of discriminatory parking charges for National Trust members and the disabled, Sheffield Park Garden has taken over as our place to visit whilst in the area. On a warm Spring day we found the place to be packed with visitors, and the overflow car park in use. However the size of the gardens... More

Great walks and superb views. Good cafe. Plenty to see and do and even the kids will like it. Lots of trails and suitable for wheelchairs in most areas.

Lovely gardens, lovely scenery. Great value for money as the gardens are huge. Remember you walking boats or sturdy footwear, there's a lot of walking to make sure you see the best of this place!

Normally one sees pictures of these gardens in the autumn when the foliage is in all its beautiful glory. We visited in the spring, not expecting too much, but the beauty in the structure of the trees and the mist on the water made for a tranquil and relaxing morning. Well recommended at all times of the year

We went on the Bluebell Railway from Sheffield Park to East Grinstead a lovely ride on an old Steam Engine. Did not see any bluebells but lots and lots of primroses as we steamed by maybe a change of name would be in order! We had a lovely walk around East Grinstead as there a lot of lovely old buildings... More
