The Arena Theatre is one of the West Midlands longest established and most successful small-scale touring venues. Our visitors can enjoy a superbly compact, reasonably priced, state-of-the-art complex. Bright and bold in design, it embraces excellent front of house facilities and two exceptionally relaxing theatres with flexible performing spaces. The Arena Theatre seats 150 and is brilliantly deceptive – seductively drawing its audiences into a more intimate understanding of the play, surprisingly spacious for dance or ballet, funky and unpretentious for hot music. Quality programming has always been of paramount importance to the Arena Theatre and outstanding professional companies, celebrating drama, dance and music, will continue to dominate throughout any given season. The Arena also showcases work by local schools, colleges, students, amateur companies and community events.

We came here for a jazz gig. This was quite a drive for us and we could have seen the same act nearer to home, but this looked like a better venue so we gave the Arena a try. We were delighted - it's truly a superb music venue and well worth travelling to. Seating is steeply tiered and it... More

I have danced in this venue twice and it is a good sized theatre for smaller productions. The backstage floors are hollow though so you can hear the footsteps of the performer(s). It is a good venue though.

We have seen many shows over the year's, and its a great little theatre for the children, and adults its does different show's from stage productions but with a personal touch as the shows we see are ran by the local drama groups and they are always great fun to watch and almost feel part of there production its great.

We went to see Flexus Dance Collective present a range of contemporary dance in the small studio theatre. It was great. A wonderful evening of entertainment.

A charming little Theatre based in the heart of Wolverhampton. The Arena is a small touring venue attached to the University of Wolverhampton, and i have seen many great plays and armature Musicals at this lovely little theatre. The staff are always friendly and helpful, and greet customers with a smile. The customer service is brilliant, and I have never... More

A sweet theatre with a lovely performance space and nice bar. It'd a shame that this isn't a more functional cafe/bar space outside of performance hours.

The Arena Theatre is in the centre of Wolverhampton, with the Civic Centre carpark very close to it. They have a wide range of plays, normally with a quite small cast. We thoroughly enjoying going there - very good value for money, and there is a coffee bar which suits me.

What can I say about the Arena, they have all different types of plays that some of the larger theatres don't get, it is a small venue and it makes things feel more intermet,
