It's shameful to say that having lived in Wolverhampton all my life I've only visited the Art Gallery once in that time. Spurred on by two of my daughter's pieces of art being exhibited, we visited on Saturday morning. The staff were very friendly, several taking time to chat with us and our 2 year old while letting us enjoy... More

Not very family friendly but impressive, I can see why it cost so much! Enjoyed the workshops and the pop art gallery and conveniently in the centre of Wolverhampton too,

The coat-hanger statue of Richard Jobson is terrific. The temporary exhibitions are often of high quality, such as work from the National Portrait Gallery and the industrial landscapes of Edwin... There are good facilities for children who can dress up, also touch quite a large range of exhibits. The food in the coffee bar is excellent - quite a lot of vegetarian food, alongside all sorts of sandwiches, Indian snacks and lovely cakes. If you... More

This is not the National Gallery or the Louvre. Come on, it's Wolverhampton. Don't expect a Picasso or a Rembrandt or a Da Vincci. There is only a limited collection if paintings but I have always loved being there. No big crowds, so if you are looking for a few moments of solitude in the company of some reasonably interesting... More
