Although the house was closed when we visited we found the gardens very interesting, particularly the kitchen garden with many varieties that we never normally see.

Immaculate lawns, beautiful gardens and a house crammed full of interesting artifacts - this is one of the best attractions of it's kind. Knowledgeable and friendly guides take you on an hour long tour through many of the rooms in the house with stories about the owners and their huge collection of furniture, paintings, silver and china etc. Even better,... We decided to see just the gardens and were very impressed. They're in a peaceful and rural parkland setting despite being so close to the high-speed rail link and the M20. Many themes are to be seen: topiary, 2 lily ponds (1 man-made and the other more natural), Italian garden and the large walled garden with 3 greenhouses, various plants... More

The house is lovely and because you have a guided tour you do not miss anything. The tour takes about an hour. We had Betty as our tour guide and she was brilliant she really knew her stuff. The gardens are lovely and the tea room is great. They do not serve meals only tea and cake but it is... More

Very impressed, lovely house and gardens and not expensive to visit. Recommended. Tea room is pleasant although we did have to wait 15 minutes for someone to take our order. A lovely place to hang out, if I lived locally I would definitely get a season ticket to the gardens.

This is a very well kept estate with a very beautiful historic house immaculately kept. The guide who took us round (tour was about an hour) was very interesting, pointing out some beautiful porcelain and furniture in the lovely surroundings. The gardens are just wonderful and extensive. There are flower borders, sweeping lawns, an Italian garden and a large and... More

This was only my second visit but it will not be my last. It costs only £8 adult ticket for the house and gardens and only £5 for a garden ticket. Amazing value for such a beautiful house and stunning gardens. The house tour is very informative and enjoyable and the gardens are beautiful. So many pretty areas to sit... More

We went when the sculpture show was happening, and that was especially delightful. You come upon all these lovely, whimsical pieces hidden all over the garden. The day I went was very quiet, which made it even more of a treat. Idyllic.

We had the tour of Godinton House after looking around the lovely gardens and the guides were very informative and interesting. The afternoon was rounded off with the best tea and cake in their pretty tea rooms and the staff were very polite and friendly.
