Not a park in the normal sense, but more a open air place to enjoy walks through greenery with river views. Picnic tables available in the open and under cover. Plenty of parking spaces, and a cafe with toilets, together with a gift shop. A great children's playground, for both infants and older kids. A good place to enjoy some... More

We have been going here since I was young which was a very long time ago. The walks are lovely. The park is fab but can be very busy. It's a great place for picnics with the family and friends. It hasn't really changed at all. I remember walking through the woods getting lost and making dens and my kids... More

My wife and I took our two grandchildren aged 6 and 8 to the Wat Tyler Country Park on Wednesday 27 May. We had actually planned to take them up to the Tower of London, a distance from home of around 22 miles, but regrettably the trains were cancelled due to an electric failure. This left us with two small... More

I have been to Wat Tyler since I was a kid and still loving coming here with my own child. Great day for warm water and the whole family. They are always doing activities for kids all ages and it's a wonderful place to go for a relaxing wonder too.

A nice place with plenty of space for children to run around and explore, a few parks for different ages. Cute little shops when they are open and different activities through out the holidays x

Visited Wat Tyler Park to kill time, but ended up enjoying every minute, there is so much history there, I was amazed at how the ground has developed over the years and when it first began. Stories of the war, covering bombs, the German invasion, It tells the story of the surrounding area's how they grew and what they used... More

Having left Basildon many years ago a recent visit to Wat Tyler left us very impressed with the changes that have been made over the years and the apparent cohesive approach now being applied to it. Seeing the relocated ancient houses were still well cared for was pleasing and the clear space around them enhances the opportunity to view and... More
