Great day out

Had a lovely day out with our Grandchildren, plenty for them to do, lovely walks, they loved the model railway and the dog came too, their ages ranged from 6 to14 and they loved it

A hidden, but beautifully managed gem in the middle of busy Basildon, is a haven for all the family. The park is extensive with lots of ecological projects, galleries, pond dipping, history, education, boats and swings. Really it has it all, certainly enough to meet the needs of any family day out, and the vast majority is absolutely free. It... More

Wonderful time with grandchildren aged 6 and 4. We did Pond dipping with Neil who was so good with them. Then we went and had cottage talk, and did weaving sticks and made a brick. Every one was so good, and helpful, and we enjoyed ourselves . Thank you every one xx

My husband visited Wat Tyler park today on a recommendation from a friend. We had not been there in years! He wanted me to write a review stating how much he enjoyed taking our 2 year old son and his 9 year old niece. They spent a couple of hours there but the 9 year old could have stayed a... More

Nice park but the ponds grounds and attraction seemed bit under maintained. The RSPB was good but the Thacthed cottages all locked up couldnt look around yet they seem they want to attract people but make no effort

Wat Tyler is a beautiful park, we took a picnic and you can spend all day there. Big play parks with lots to do for the kids. They also put on indoor activities and In the school holidays have the fun inflatables outside.

Beautiful park and we had a wonderful time and a picnic on the grass. I would have given excellent but the miniature train wasn't running.

Excellent little park now further improved with the history trail regarding the parks former use as a explosives factory. Preserved cottages moved from stansted airport (although I think these cottages should be opened to the public). Miniature railway is good although I feel that could be improved somehow. Marina is good and could also be put into better use. Put... More

Nice Clean park, staff a friendly and welcoming, parking never an issue. Older children there, seem to respect the space of the little ones, and vice versa. nice little cafe, great for a cycle ride, we rain it from Benfleet to Pitsea, then ride down.
