No matter what you go to see it always feels special. The atmosphere is unique and as soon as you enter the Opera House you know you'll enjoy an evening of entertainment that has been well chosen by the theatre. There's no particular dress code meaning you can go for a dressed -up meal before a show or a dressed-down... More

A beautiful structure which is awe inspiring to watch a show in! The atmosphere is so old fashioned - it's like stepping back in time. It engulfs you in the architecture. Thoroughly recommend watching any show here just for the experience

A lovely old theatre well worth going to see a show there. The play I saw was not grat but the theatre more than made up for in atmosphere.

Now a theatre too. Saw a production there on Sherlock Holmes. Great fun and quite comfortable seats! Wheelchair friendly too which was a bonus for us. Had dinner opposite at the Hall Hotel wine bar. Beautifully preserved building inside and out.

Visited while on a short break in Buxton and booked to see the Sherlock Holmes Ripper Murders. The opera house us quite small but perfectly formed!! It is really something, with a lovely original style and a fantastic gilded ceiling amongst other period features. The staff were very helpful and the show was really enjoyable. Also, adjoining the theatre, which... More

A gorgeous theatre that swallows about 900 people. Very pretty inside with gilt decoration and fresco paintings on the ceiling. Lovely staff and reasonable prices make this a little gem. A tiny original bar complete with Victorian tiling make this a unique venue. Parking is at the Pavillion end of the gardens just a short walk away and free after... More

Small environment so close to the stage making it a personal venue. Offers wide range of entertainment for all the family.
