I went to Buxton Opera house a while ago now to see Jason Manford perform. The Opera house is a magnificent building set in the heart of Buxton. Every seat is a good seat at the opera house and all staff are so friendly. Parking is ample. Can't wait for my next visit.

The buxton opera house is an excellent local resource. It has very good national acts performing there, the seats are comfy and you can normally get to the bar during the interval. The building is quite grand and really adds to a sense of being at an event

We visited the Buxton Opera House today to watch the Jack & the Beanstalk pantomime with 2 adults, a 8 year old and a 3 year old. Brilliant panto - well acted, sang, danced and the scenery, music and lights were great. Absolutely beautiful building. Helpful staff - who went out of their way to direct you to the toilets... Love this theatre as it is a long drive out but we have such a nice time every time we go. The building is very old but they have made it very wheelchair accessible. We always get put two rows from the front unlike at the Pavilion Arts centre.

This is the ultimate venue to go and see that murder mystery. Though last thing i went to see here was Vampires Rock. The Opera House is perfectly kept and very traditional. You dont need to really have to see anything here; just to admire the fine building in itself is worth admission fee. I have also seen The Tempest,... More

I've lived and worked in Buxton and Chesterfield for over 39 years. I remember the Opera House as a shabby cinema (saw Jaws there). Seen many and diverse acts and performances over the decades on the magnificently restored Edwardian Opera House. Enjoyed Joan Armatrading last month.

We attended Joan's one night performance at the Opera House and as always it was a great night. The Opera House is a beautiful venue and we had a great evening. A quick drink in the bar before the performance and great views from our gallery seats. Staff are always welcoming and helpful. Always a good night out!
