Stayed on business initially and then brief holiday. Rooms unexciting but clean and tidy. Expensive bar, but at least trying with a local real ales (at £4.80 per pint!).

My husband played the course twice - once on a lovely sunny day and then the next day in intermittent showers. He enjoyed the course. Not too challenging, but some lovely holes. Bar has a great view that you can see the lake. I can confirm that the golf bar is lovely and the staff are great - even made... More

This is our 5th time now and yet again, an excellent stay. This is our daughters favourite hotel, the staff put her on the VIP list and treated her like royalty wherever she went. We stayed in a junior suite in the courtyard( ground level) only moan was you could hear all the traffic above us. A special thanks to... More

This hotel is set within some fabulous golf grounds. The views are great, and make you feel relaxed. The lobby is castle like which was interesting. The rooms are dispersed all over the place in small interconnected buildings. The ceilings are low so tall people watch your head. The rooms was reasonable and functional. Breakfast was good with a selection... More

Played on the only dry sunny day for weeks, the course was very wet with mainly temp t boxes, and a couple of temp greens. Nonetheless a very enjoyable course (old course). we were 3 down at the turn, fought back to all square on 15, only to loose 16, but a fighting par on 17 gave us a win... More

We recently stayed here for a weekend and were given a warm welcome from the staff upon arrival. The reception, lobby and restaurant areas are situated in the converted castle which all look lovely,... More
