Loch of the Lowes is very good as you get to see the Osprey and all the birds like Wood Pecker's and swans as well as Squirrels. I am 7 and I am a Wildlife Watcher :)

Loch of Lowes Run by Scottish Wildlife Trust, excellent place to visit. We saw osprey nesting, from the two nearby hides. In the Visitor centre we saw close up live pictures of the nest. We were able to watch red squirrels feeding from the observation window in the Visitor centre. Helpful and pleasant staff (volunteers). Car park nearby, easy access,... More

Wow what a nice experience watching al the wee birdies feeding. Amazing selection of birds and something therapeutic about just watching their antics. Really should come and see the ospreys but am fortunate to have them feed near where I live.

I have mobility difficulties usually needing one or two sticks to help and this was somewhere that I didn't expect to be able to access this place as well as I did, which was really nice! We visited here on a showery, misty sort of day - disappointing for mid June. The osprey pair were not enjoying the weather much... More

This was our first visit to Scotland and we hadn't seen any red squirrells all week. This morning was torrential rain. We turned up at the reserve and our first nice surprise was a cosy warm clubhouse with great viewing area to lots of feeders. We stripped off the waterproofs and sat for a while enjoying a family of young... More

We visit the Loch of Lowes twice a year, walking up from Dunkeld and back again. It is a wonderful place to relax and watch the bird life and of course, the main attraction is always The Lady, who has been visiting for about 23 years. She , about two years ago, has a new "husband" a beautiful young osprey.... More

Visited yesterday (10/6/2014) excellent view of osprey nest with both male and female in attendance; occasional visit of a third bird (? another female). Visit was spoiled, however, by the incessant talk of the two rangers and other female observers in the hide. There were numerous notices asking for quiet but all seem to have been ignored as all of... More

A trip to see if there had been any Osprey eggs hatching. Very reasonably priced, good hides, the volunteer gave us lots of information on the birds, camera's set up to view the Osprey in her nest. Really interesting.

We could have spent all day here watching the gardens and loch nests. Really worth the money and time to visit. Fascinating watching the birds.
