Wow! A thoroughly entertaining and educational afternoon. Recommended for all ages, Felicity is a terrific communicator and includes everybody regardless of age. Her enthusiasm for her subject is infectious and after a short introductory talk everybody is soon looking for fossils and dinosaur bones. She occasionally gathers the group together to show everybody something unusual that someone has found, a... More

We spent a very happy 2 hours on a fossil hunt with Felicity. My 9 year old loved it (as did I). Felicity explains about fossils and the walks along the beach with everyone, the kids were running up to her constantly asking 'what is this?' she was lovely, very patient and encouraging with them. Very good value for money... More

My family visited the island this summer and I booked a tour with Island Gems. My two boys are 9 and 6 and love all things dinosaur, so we were all looking forward to it. We met Flick in the car park along with a large group of people and she began to describe the area and some of the... More

We had a great afternoon on the beach with our two girls aged 9 and 12. Our tour was run by felicity who was fantastic. She is very enthusiastic and interesting to listen to and kept the children interested when telling us about dinosaurs and fossils. We learnt lots on the tour and found a few fossils of our own... Well Felicity what passion for your subject. Group of cynical parents, have bored children and openly rebellious teenagers in the group we were party of and moments later we are all scratching about looking for fossils and fool gold with a steely determination. Loved it. You are missing a trick, get some bags and sell them! If my 10 year... More

My five year old just learned about dinosaurs in reception so fresh with her enthusiasm we booked on to this tour mostly for her. I knew she'd see dinosaur foot casts and that that would enthral her enough. We also had a two year old in tow and was bracing myself for her to be very much in the way.... More

Despite an overcast afternoon, Felicity's enthusiasm and knowledge of all things fossil brightened our day. The pre-walk explanation gave us all a clear understanding of what to look for in Brook Chine, and she wasn't phased with my 5 year old's constant request to check her handful of pebbles for something that might be of interest! We especially liked discovering... More

All 10 adults and 9 kids had a great time with Felicity on an afternoon of fossil hunting, near Freshwater (can't remember name of the beach!). We came across things on the beach that we would never have noticed if it wasn't for Felicity's extended knowledge and patience. How cool for the kids to see dinosaurs foot prints and find... More

We were recommended to this fossil walk but I was initially a little dubious as the person recommending had younger children. We went with children ranging from 7-13 and all really enjoyed the experience. Martin is very passionate about his subject and able to keep all ages interested. It is fantastic value for money and really makes you think. Would... More

Despite being on a drizzly February afternoon, and being moved along to another beach due to an unexploded bomb being found on the orginal beach (!), we had a fabulous time. Felicity was great at explaining things and really patient with our children (aged 6 and 3) who must have taken her almost every rock on the beach for her... More
