Weather ...windy but not to cold ,very fresh air and was really nice to walk along with kids and family and watch the waves and the sea. My son had a great time running along on his scooter and running away from the waves whom there were breaking on the side .The bad part was all toilets where closed and... More

A winter walk along the shore with a dog looked fabulous from where I sat looking down onto it. There seemed to be a big group of regulars chatting to their friends while the dogs played.

Our 2 dogs had a fantastic time running around and playing in the surf on this lovely sandy beach by the harbour. Down side is dogs only allowed on the beach certain times of the year

lovely sandy beach to take the children and relax, watch them enjoy a paddle and dig in the sand. and they have shops and a cafe close at hand for ice cream and buckets and spades and nets to catch the fish, never that busy so its easy to spot your child if they stray

A really picturesque and historic seaside town that reminds me of childhood holidays, with cockle stalls, ice-cream and buckets & spades. There are still remenents of Folkestone's grand past with superb Victorian buildings like the Grand Hotel, the bandstand and the historic water lifts up to The Leas. Some lovely cafes and restaurants around too and all at reasonable prices... More

This is a great sandy beach where kids can play and paddle safely. The sea does not get deep too quickly. During Summer Dogs are banned, but is popular out of season for dog walkers too

Really enjoyed out walk, visited both at high and low tide. Loved the man made 'caves' at the back of the beach.
