This is a great sandy beach where kids can play and paddle safely. The sea does not get deep too quickly. During Summer Dogs are banned, but is popular out of season for dog walkers too

Really enjoyed out walk, visited both at high and low tide. Loved the man made 'caves' at the back of the beach.

This small beach is a rarity in Kent as it has a lot of sand! It gets packed during the summer weekends - so get here early. The backdrop - which looks like small concrete caves could do with a revamp, although the hill behind looks scenic and provides the tourist with exhilarating views from the top.

Sand, real sand. Excellent for swimming and great for kids. It's small but there are so few beaches in this part of the world that it will be somewhere I return to regularly. Difficult to park but on the plus side Folkstone harbour is close and has great pubs and seafood outlets. A must for beach lovers.

Visited here randomly today. Have never seen so many people jammed onto such a small piece of sand ever before (the tide was coming in pretty fast). We walked as far away from the crowds as possible and to be fair it was nice but definitely wouldn't have wanted to have been on that beach today!!
