We are quite local to this attraction and love to go no matter what the weather. The trip is different every time. We always buy tea and cake for on the journey, and often have lunch once we return to Clayton West. There is lots for kids to do and our 5 yr old is always very happy here. Highly... More

Took our two small grandsons, we bought a family ticket and the only fault I have was it was so hot on the train, the windows couldn't be opened and we were on for about an hour. Apart from that it was a really enjoyable day with plenty to do, and you can take your own picnic as there are... More

With two kids , one toddler and one almost four, plenty to keep em occupied, a safe play area and convenient picnic tables, super rides on various little trains all included in the ticket price, £12 adults £11 for small ones, free face painting on our visit, complete with a few friendly characters all made for a very good value... We have visited today for the "day out with thomas" day with our 2 1/2 yr old. All of us have had a thoroughly enjoyable day. Staff are really helpful and enthusiastic and there was plenty to do. We got the first train to shelley station at 10am which was the only one pulled by thomas and we saw the... More

Although relatively local to us this was our first trip to KLR, and we went as the "Day Out With Thomas" weekend was on. We booked in advance online and were pleasantly surprised to find that the ticket price included everything apart from refreshments: bouncy castles, face painting, donkey rides are all part of the experience along with the dressed... This was a lovely day. We visited last Sunday for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed it. It's only small, there's a play area and cafe at both stations with the addition of a few bouncy castles and sandpit at Shelley. Kids loved the small steam train and we felt relaxed just watching the kids play at each station. It's... More

Took the granddaughter aged 6 on a rainy Friday afternoon, the playground a bit too wet to play on but the train ride very enjoyable. Had a coffee at Shelley and she played with the model railway there. Thought the spotting of the various signs to get a badge was a good idea, and the staff all friendly. Just a... More
