Really enjoyed the seal feeding and the smelly penguins. The cafe was over priced but these places always are!

It had been a long while since I last visited the Scarborough Sea Life Sanctuary - I used to spend more time visiting the Pirate Crazy Golf alongside instead. Prior to visiting I had emailed the Sanctuary and Richard, the General Manager responded personally. The service I received from Richard and his staff was over and above that expected of... More

Hi bigglad, Thanks so much for your outstanding review! I'm really pleased to hear that you found the team accommodating and that you enjoyed your time in the centre so much! I'm relatively new in my role here, and we are hard at work making improvements around the centre, so it's great to see they are going down well -... More

Visited here in 2012 (again not able to choose this in the list) for my son's then 4th birthday treat. He thoroughly enjoyed it and we all loved the seals and being able to watch them under water. The place was very busy and there was no chance of getting a table to eat in the restaurant, however, which cut... More

The cafe is cramped and the food not very appealing .although ok for kiddies meals the usual food you get in a kids box.over priced for... More

Hi thweng! Thank you very much for your recent review of Scarborough SEA LIFE. I was quite disappointed to read that you found the centre run down. I'm guessing that you were not given adequate information when you first came in, and for that, I must apologise. We are currently spending £500,000 on improvements in the centre, so on your... We took our two kids of 7 and 4 and we enjoyed a couple of hours here. The kids loved the interaction and the stamp collecting at the nine info stations plus finding the six hidden toy sharks. Lots of interesting stuff to see and to learn about but we didn't see penguins as that was closed (got a £5... More

I took my 5 year old granddaughter and we had 1 free entry voucher and it still cost £16.50, for a child or adult. We did know that the Penguins were not there, and they did not reduce the entrance fee down, only gave you a £5 voucher for a future visit. No wonder there were not many people there.... More

Hi sheilas434, What a disappointing review, I'm so sorry to read that you feel to have been let down by the price. Within the centre, we have over 50 amazing displays, including our outdoor sanctuary animals, and seal hospital (which currently has one baby grey seal inside that was recently rescued by the staff). On top of that, we currently... More

Visited here yesterday 2 adults, 8 yr & baby - paid online before going so it was £32 altogether - on the website it said it was shark week & that there was face painting, talks & feeds that you can help with etc. Nowhere does it state that after paying the pricey entrance fee should you expect to pay...
