We visited Scarborough with our son and his family on bank holiday Monday. Lovely sunny day spent on the beach watching our granddaughter enjoying playing on a nice clean beach. We all relived memories of when we brought our son as a young one, eating ice creams from the same shop as the one where we bought him ice cream... More

My favourite UK beach by far. The sand is golden and it's very clean. We parked behind the pound store and it was £3.00 for 2 hours. There is plenty of arcades and pubs along the seafront. It's a brilliant seaside resort for children and adults of all ages

Great beach for children, close to all the facilities in Scarborough, the only problem is parking you need to get there early.

this beach is by far one of the cleanest in the UK. i spend hours just sat looking out to the sea, watching the fishermen busying on the harbour. the pier has amazing views of the coast.

Soft silky sand nice and clean. The tide can come in quick but it is quite a tame tide so safe for swimming. A good visit all year round

Certified clean water. Lovely sandy beach, not pebbly. Good for sand castles. Lots of interesting rock pools to explore.

We spent a couple of hours on the beach and the the sand is clean. Although there was work going on so a part of the beach was sectioned off and extremely noisy machinery being used. There are lots of sea food stalls nearby. If you intend on staying on the beach near the arcades etc, it is worth buying... More

if you have dogs the North bay of Scarborough beach has a dog friendly beach all year round, whilst the other beaches are from October to March. All beaches are kept in great order and are clean. If you have small children then low tide is great for looking in all the rock pools.
