Took a walk over the spa bridge and then followed the path leading up on to the esplanade just by the famous clock tower is some steps leading into the italian gardens, The gardens are well maintained and is well worth a look if your out for a walk, whilst we were here we were joined by several squirrels.

Honestly, these gardens are the best it's so peaceful and quiet (apart from the birds singing) these are normally quiet apart form the odd few people and the garden/ Forrest paths right next to them are very nice. The scenery is amazing and the atmosphere is the best. If coming to Scarborough I recommend taking the kids, or your partner... More

Lovely walk if you park at the top and walk all the way down to the sea front taking in the gardens on South Cliff as you go. Lovely!

Always worth a visit any time of the year. A pleasant place for a stroll especially in the early morning when the squirrels and birds are around. Very relaxing part of Scarborough.

There are beautiful flower beds in the gardens according to the season. My latest visit was in August so a colouful display. There are pleasant walks through the woods at the south side of Scarborough which lead to the gardens and the Spa. Even walking along the main road above the gardens is pleasant or down at promenade level.
