Really well worth a visit the views are out of this world. Plenty of things to see paid entry but really is worth it. Good place to take a picnic. There is also a cafe up there and toilets. Really is a must

So much history in this lovely old castle, loads to walk around and see. Great steep hike up to the top of the hill where the castle is. Great to spend a view hours.

Scarborough Castle is a truly wonderful place to visit, to any able bodied person visiting the town. As it's high upon the clifftop above Scarborough, you'll need to be physically fit enough to climb the steps. or walk the hill to the top, where the entrance to the Castle is. There is room for a Taxi to drop you off... More

Very interesting visit, our only minor improvement point is that the audio tour is not as good as other English Heritage sites we have visited. It... More

We've enjoyed visiting Scarborough Castle on several occasions. It never disappoints, especially the view from the viewing platform.

We have done this visit twice. The castle is steeped in history as you would expect. The views are fantastic and in nice weather it is ideal for a Picnic on the extensive grassed grounds.

well worth a visit, say hello to Richard 111rd. STEEPED IN HISTORY. The breached wall was rebuilt after being bombarded by WW1 warships. Trace its history back through Norman times and walk the walls. Great views from here a tie in visits to the museums here and also the best fish and chips down below on the seafront. Take a... More
