We visited the cast on a saturday and coincidentally timed it to get a tour guide. The guide was free as part of the entry, and was well worth it. The guide was called Elliot and was full of gusto, very knowledgeable and made the tour very interesting. If you visit I would strongly advise doing the tour, especially if... More

My husband and I went to the castle on our weekend in Scarborough. At £5.00 we thought it was excellent value for money. Good history around each part of the castle & being able to walk everywhere, Didn't realise how big the grounds actually were. We spent around 2 hours here & both really enjoyed it. Would definitely recommend if... More

The guided tour was excellent, there I also am audio tour. Parking isn't free but you are right in a tourist hub so it's to be expected. The tea room is small but good & there are toilets on site. There's no flashy rooms but you get history in its purist rom with excellent views - blew away the cobwebs!

Lovely to visit the castle and see the history. Great views of both south and north bays as-well as the town.

My recent visit to Scarborough Castle was my first in many years. My partner and I opted to visit Scarborough en-route before returning home from our mini holiday in North Yorkshire. We found our experience at the Castle very enjoyable although slightly disappointed at little parking availability – though the local church (graveyard) offers this which is roughly a 100... More

If you go to England, you should for sure make a stop to Scarborough Castle. So mystical and beautiful! It is like you go back in time! I would go back in a few years when I return to England..

We had a lovely day out, 4 generations of family and we all enjoyed the fresh air, views of the coast below and an interesting tour of a local historical sight, with a very enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide. Thanks!

Despite the thick fog and seafret the castle was still very interesting to visit. The spooky aura added to the experience. Well worth a visit even in inclement weather.
