Our 3 year old Grandaughter loves these trains. We are regular visitors all year round and she loves to wave at everyone and have an ice cream at Scalby Mills Station. All the staff are friendly, and the Santa Specials are a must. You have to be prepared to join in with the singing and shouting, the children love it and it's great... Used to go on this as a child. Now I am taking my grandchildren. It's quite changed - more comfortable I guess - and maybe the rickety rides I had in the 50's were part of the excitement. If you've got children, no visit to Scarborough is complete without a trip on this. I don't think it runs in winter... More

Hard to believe the difference at this attraction since a private company took over from SBC (not renown for making the best of what Scarborough has to offer). Everything has been re-vamped an there is always something different happening during Holidays, especially at Easter, Halloween (spooky ride and even spookier tales at "Scary Mills Station".

Whether you are 8 months or 80 this is a 'must do' when your in Scarborough. Take a return from Peasholm and just enjoy the scenery and the ride or get off at Scalby Mills and enjoy a stroll along the beach.

We had a sneaky peek at Santa's Grotto at the Peasholm station. It's been really well done out. Very cosy and Christmassy. Just the thing to get you into the festive spirit.

as far as I can remember the trains are roughly every 15 minutes (roughly as I can't quite remember the exact time) There are carriages that are open and ones with a roof, all are comfortable enough for the time you are travelling on them. The staff are really friendly and easy to talk to. The price is in my... More

Have been going on this little train now for over 40 years, and it never disappoints, and when our grandson is too old we will go on it by ourselves,What am i saying, you are never too old for the little train. The cafe next to it is well worth a visit too.Good food and very obliging.
