I first had a ride on this train in 1965, and the latest was on my 75th birthday in July. The main difference now is that there are covered carriages, otherwise it is still as great as ever.

This is more than a ride, it is a trip back in time. A gentle way to visit Scalby Mills; sea life centre or the pub for a drink or a meal.

Takes you about half a mile from Peasholm Park to the Sealife Centre in open-sided miniature carriages. Satisfies the train buff in me and serves a useful purpose for families wanting to visit the Sealife Centre and/or the Scalby Mills pub.Oh, if only they were real steam trains though. Still atmospheric though.

Very nice typically British type of railway. Pretty journey, shame it rained and we got soaked. Dogs allowed always a plus

For my little boy, this was the highlight of the trip to Scarborough. He is mad about trains and really enjoyed this trip. I wanted to take him on a steam train but they are so expensive, this was just the right price and not too long. He sat still through the ride from Peasholm park to the sea life... More

Good narrow-gauge train ride for all the family through the park and along the coast to the sea life centre.

I really liked this, the round trip didn't take too long and the guys running it we're really nice, giving good advice as well as recommending other activities in town. The carriages have a couple of spaces at the end that are larger, these are really good for families with buggies or wheelchair users. We used the Glass House Bistro... More

We have travelled on this train since we were children (now in 50's and 60's). There is no doubt that this lovely little railway keeps to its traditions and cannot do enough for its passengers.
