On a walk round the North Bay yesterday, I noticed preparations are well underway for the new season at the North Bay Railway. It wasn’t running yesterday but apparently it is all go from tomorrow. I’ve ridden the railway many times both as a child and an adult and this charming railway with its genuinely interested and helpful staff always... More

I took my Grandfather on this railway as he is a fan of steam and he really enjoyed the ride. He particularly liked watching the steam engine going round on the turntable.

We rode both ways with the grandchildren and shopped at the darling gift shop in between. This little railway was as cute as it was fun. Not sure who had more fun, the kids or us watching the kids! I would rank it as the best little train ride in the world!

Loved the idea of the old steam engine effect. Reminded me of my childhood before electric trains took to the rails. Great attraction for the young and not so young.

I have been riding this railway for 54 years and still love it. Unlike most similar miniture railways that go round a circular route, this actually takes you somewhere. At one end the Sealife centre , miniture golf or a visit for real ale at the Scalby hotel . At the other there's Norstead gardens, for the water shoot , tree... More

Myself, partner and some friends visited scarborough a few months ago and found ourself at this attraction and I'm please to say that we all found the experience very enjoyable. They have somehow managed to catch the essence of old railways in this miniature version. I myself been a big steam railway fan was right at home but even some... More

A lovely little minature railway situated opposite Peasholm Park. Take the time to take a ten minute trip to the Sea Life Center or the Pirate pitch and putt at the end of the journey. You can walk there but what’s the fun in that?

A cornerstone, the miniature train has been an integral part of a Scarborough visit from childhood to adulthood- unfortunately it's starting to go the same way as a real railway, by risking pricing people off it - a single ticket is already at £3-odd.

Smell of steam & soot is just brill, had it on my clothes when back at home...excellent! Open carriages make it even more thrilling especially for the young uns.... More
