The cricket ground at Scarborough is far more intimate than at Headingley. Children (and others) are allowed to play their own games on the outfield when play is not in progress. The standard of cricket played during Festival Week is of the highest quality.

Lovely ground and loads of cricket throughout the season - amateur and pro. Take a sun hat as there is no shade.

I've been to Scarborough dozens of times since I was a kid and odd times my dad has taken me here to watch cricket (Yorkshire play a few home games per season on this ground). He grew up on the old Scarborough Cricket Festivals and while the ground doesn't quite see these packed houses anymore, it's still a brilliant place... More

Friendly staff. Cafe with delicious cakes. All outdoor seating so need to be well wrapped up. Good position for cliff tops and shops.

We watched Yorkshire v Sussex on the third day. Very friendly staff, great atmosphere. Loved that we could get a pass out and return when we wanted.

I travelled up to watch part of the festival and really enjoyed my day at the cricket ground. I was amazed the number of supporters that enjoy attending the festival. The ground has alot of character and is well worth spending a session watching from different parts of the ground.Enjoyed numerous visits to the tea room during the day where... More

Never actually went in to this attraction, however I could see from the promenade that this castle had been an important structure in its day. If I had more time I would have possibly ventured in. Scarborough on a hole is a very clean resort (in comparison to its North West Counterpart of Blackpool). Although, not my cup of tea.... More

Make an annual trip here for the cricket festival and thoroughly enjoy the atmosphere with like minded cricket supporters. The ground and pavilion have under gone some improvements in recent years but more could still be done. Toilets are dated, dirty and smelly and the service of teas and coffees is confused and disorganised. For example it took 15 mins... More

Much better watching one day games. Facilities are excellent especially the tea bar and prices are good.
