Owner description: Situated between Scarborough and Whitby in the North York Moors National Park, Pesky Husky is a unique experience for any visitor. A family-run business with over 30 years of experience of the breed, Pesky Husky was set up in 2007, when our aims were to provide a centre where people could learn about the amazing qualities of the oldest breed on the planet, and how they are simply like no other dog. We also aim to provide a loving home for our dogs throughout their whole lives (having rescued about a third of our pack from unsuitable homes), by giving them the opportunity to do what Huskies are supposed to do- run! With 30 sled dogs for you to meet, we provide a range of exciting experiences, including Husky Trekking; a sport which gives you the opportunity to drive your own team of dogs on a two wheeled scooter around our purpose built trekking course, with its two exciting down-hills. For those who want a more relaxed session we can tailor your session to suit your individual abilities.Pesky Husky also offers Husky Hiking all year round; a walk with the dogs through the open countryside, using specialist belts and equipment specifically designed for sled dogs. A fun and unique activity, this is perfect for families with children, walking groups, or anyone who wants to meet and spend some quality time with these amazing animals! We also offer combined sessions of Trekking and hiking for the complete Husky experience. These activities all include a full kennel visit, instruction, and equipment, and are available all year round, 7 days a week. We also do various other activities- from children’s parties to kennel visits, meaning there really is something for everybody! Prices start at £15 and we can provide gift vouchers as well as bookings. Please ring for availability and details.

We had a great time on Sunday walking some of the Huskies. What a memorable experience, especially for our two sons (11 and 13 years). Debbie was lovely and made us feel really welcome. The huskies were so friendly and it was obvious how well cared for they are. We would love to do it again sometime.

In a true Yorkshire banter style, Debs showed us the kennels and introduced us to their amazing Huskies and 1 handsome Malamute. The venue was beautiful, the tour was really informative and Debs was hillarious! All of the huskies were so friendly, and we had every confidence they would be gentle. The two 'boys' went sledding as we pregnant wives... More

This is a proper Yorkshire farm which just happens to kennel around 30 amazing dogs, including a Malamute, which looks like a small friendly lion. They are all ridiculously beautiful animals and make an amazing noise from time to time when something that interests them happens. The husky-pulled scooter ride around a hilly grass course is hilarious. Guess what -... More

Pesky husky is the best I would defiantly recommend it 100% good Every one is friendly and gives you loads of freedom to interact with huskeys The bike like sleds made it fairly easy to do even for youngish children Really helpful and kind hosts who made the day so memorable Lovely few hours and definitely will be back

A 40th birthday treat for me. Set in lovely N Yorkshire countryside. First we met all the dogs in their kennel, they are really friendly and keen to meet visitors. Next out to the trekking circuit for a safety briefing, walk round the circuit and introduction to the scooters. A lap of the circuit with AK and Cara pulling the... More

Just got home from a lovely afternoon spent in the company of Debbie and the huskies. Took my daughter here as a special surprise and although being nervous to start with she soon relaxed after Debbie took her under her wing. First we were introduced to all 31 Huskies in there enclosures including the big 'Bear' like male, very impresssive.... More
