First class; called on way to Sidmouth. Gets better each time we visit. Nice café too. Well worth slight diversion and a chance to walk amongst the donkeys.

Hundreds of very well cared for donkeys--all very kind animals. A pleasure to see the results of dedicated hard work and commitment .

Spent an enjoyable morning visiting the donkey sanctuary whilst on holiday in the area. Being able to get close to the donkeys and pet them is fantastic, as well as watching all their antics

What a wonderful place, Donkey heaven and such a worthwhile organisation. The sanctuary is free for anyone to visit and the grounds and surrounding paddocks filled with these gentle creatures. A lovely environment for children and adults alike and an opportunity to get close to these wonderful creatures. Gift shops and cafés available and not over-priced. A must when visiting... More

I have adopted a donkey from the Sutton Park Sanctuary near Birmingham and I have visited this sanctuary before; but I had never been to SIdmouth. The sanctuary is massive and the area is so beautiful. It's also free to visit. I spent a lovely morning here stroking and fussing so many lovely donkeys and mules. I also adopted a... More

It was lovely to see the donkeys and the excellent care they receive. Nice to touch the donkeys too. I went on an informative guided tour from which I learned a lot a wouldn't have otherwise. Enjoyed lunch at The Hayloft Restaurant. Only let-down (outside the sanctuary's control) was that the Sidmouth Hopper Bus back into town was cancelled; three... More

This is an excellent attraction for any animal lover. The added bonus is that the admission and parking are free. The site is family friendly, with a gift shop and restaurant and a number of attractions for the kids. The donkeys appear to be very well looked after (well, at least once they’ve got here!) Remember it's an animal rescue,... More

What a lovely sight as you enter this site, load and o mean loads of donkeys, quite happy munching away on the grass fields, it's sad that most of them have been rescued. The place is free to visit, but that's great as the people who go spend money in the shop and to have snacks/meals. Kids love them and... More

We visisted here in the summer and had a lovely day. Cannot believe it is free, loads of space for children to explore. And the maze was great. Be great to take a picnic and spend the whole day there. They do such a good job!

We love nearby and come very often to the DS. It's free and the atmosphere is always calm and welcoming. Lots of plaques everywhere so can at times feel a bit overwhelming but this is how they get most of their money....overall lovely place to visit though.
