Our family of 5 visited the donkey sanctuary over the easter weekend. It was the first time we have been and met up with friends who highly recommended it as a place to meet. We were very impressed at the size and facilities available and our children enjoyed the egg hunt. Well worth a visit if in the area!

There appeared to be many more memorial plaques at the sanctuary now, was sad to see young children on Easter egg hunt trying to read and understand the plaques. Some of the parents appeared uncomfortable trying to give explanations. Such a beautiful, peaceful place but please let the donkeys be the focus and purpose of the sanctuary.

Both adults and children will love this centre for donkeys. Just outside of Sidmouth, it is worth spending a few hours there. Staff are friendly and helpful. There is a café so you can enjoy tea and cake.

We visited on Good Friday with our Granddaughter. Took part in the Easter egg hunt which we all enjoyed. There are some marvellous walks in beautiful surroundings, the donkeys look so happy and a couple were in the yard coming up to see the visitors. Our granddaughter was given a brush for one which she loved doing. As others have... More

We were lucky enough to be staying around the corner from the Donkey Sanctuary and were amazed that this attraction is free, requiring only a donation. I couldn't believe that there were Donkey's walking around the yard, just coming up to be stroked and loved. The staff were so friendly and helpful answering as many questions as they could. There... We visited as a family of five with our three teenage children (13,14,14) and Dog! We weren't sure what to expect other than Donkeys, but we were really impressed. Not only are there all the Donkeys you could hope to see, being well looked after in some lovely paddocks and stables, but the whole sanctuary has so much more to... More

We loved doing the Easter egg hunt with our grandson. There are plenty of lovely walks around the site. I'm looking forward to knitting a donkey to help with funds to support a worthy cause.

We went here today and as always had a lovely time. The staff are all really friendly and knowledgable. The donkeys themselves are lovely each with very individual characters. The gift shop has lots of things on offer and caters well for all budgets. The hayloft restaurant is also exceptional. It's free to get in and such a lovely day... More

This is a great place to take the children lots of donkeys and walks. Good cafe and facilities. Free donations are asked for and well worth giving for the good work done here.
