As a member of the National Trust I have visited many properties and this one is above and beyond! The WWI hospital is something to behold, it had been done so tastefully and gave a real sense of being there, the actors in the house really drew us back in time and the smell of TCP! Oh that smell! The... More

This was one of the best National Trust places I have ever visited. The hospital downstairs was fabulous and the two actors they had performing were wonderful. The rest of the house was lovely too.

We visit Dunham Massey couple of times a year. The ground is well maintained and we enjoy our walks. Though they don't have a play ground as such but children enjoy playing on the chopped down trees left on the ground making a hut, collecting leaves etc. Dogs can enter but have to be on the lead as there are... I made my visit to Dunham Massey during 2014 when it had been converted back to the hospital of the First World War era This was very well done and you felt the sense of realism The house it self is well worth a visit, and the gardens are about the best I have seen of any National Trust property... This is well worth a visit, it shows what a military hospital from the 1st world war was like, there are extensive grounds with a herd of deer and fabulous gardens, there is a cafe and restaurant should you get hungry and also you can take your own picnic to eat in the grounds,, a lovely day out

We came here as a stop off before we went back home after a lovely weekend thinking it would just be the same bog standard National Trust establishment that you find left, right and centre. HOW WRONG WERE WE?! We arrived at 9am when only the deer park was open, which wasn't a problem at all! It was a lovely... More

Took 9 and 7 year old grandkids who were both fascinated by the period characters wandering around telling the story of the house. Both enjoyed the theatre workshop in the gardens. Entertaining adventure trail around the gardens. We took a picnic with us so didn't use the catering facilities but seem to be plenty available. Plenty of areas to enjoy... More

An excellent National Trust property. The extensive Deer Park offers lovely walks and a chance to get very close to the tame deer. The house is partially converted to a WW1 Hospital at the moment which is very interesting and gives good insight into the horrors those young soldiers went through. There are a couple of excellent places to eat... More
