Hello, we have recently visited distillery and have been surprised how little but busy it was. However the tour was not very enjoyable. The lady was speaking very quietly and especially next to machines we couldn't hear a word. Used guides only same as other 10 folks. Testing on the end was highlight and royal whisky for £150 for .7l... More

We felt that we should do a Distillery tour while in Scotland even though none of us like Whisky. This was a very enjoyable and interesting tour to do. The Distillery is not large and is used for educational purposes as well as making Whisky, so is very traditional. Our guide was passionate about the Distillery, the process and the... More

A very informative tour with history of the whiskey making process. Our guide Jim had a real passion for the distillery and his enthusiasm to relay the workings and day to day operation was first class. The aroma from the different parts of the distillery as the whiskey was being produced is a whiskey drinkers delight.

Produces 450,000 litres of Scotch Whiskey annually. 10% single malt, 90% for blends. This is Diageo's smallest Whiskey distillery. A charming, quaint, immaculately maintained property situated in a picture-perfect natural Speyside environment. £7 tour includes a tasting of their 12yr S.M. No kids in the distillery. There is a reading area with kiddie books to leave mum with the younguns... More

Living locally we thought it was about time we visited this distillery. We were not disappointed. The distillery itself is by their own admission one of the smaller ones but this lets you see everything from close up. The tour was given well and gave a great overview of the process involved. At the end you then get to try... More

This is a great example of a small distillery creating one brand of good whisky. The tour is detailed and gives you a good understanding of how the whisky is made, finished off with a tasting. Make sure to get the "Classic Malts" passport at the end if you plan on travelling to more distilleries as the passport will give... More

A fascinating insight into exactly how the distillery works. Very interesting guide who explained the process clearly. The whisky tasting at the end made you appreciate the drink far more having seen the process it goes through! I learned loads & it's now set me & my partner off on the whisky trail...

14 members of the St Andrew's Friendship Group had the pleasure of visiting this distillery on Saturday 15 August 2015 as part of our 2015 Whisky Tour. Our guide, Annie, made our visit an absolute pleasure - treating us to a very knowledgeable, hospitable and social whisky tour. Of the many distilleries our group has been fortunate enough to visit,... More

We had just visited Balmoral Castle and decided to call into Royal Lochnagar Distillery as we had been doing our own whisky trail. We were blown away by the friendliness of the staff and Erik gave an incredibly entertaining recount of the History of whisky in the area. We finished with some lovely tastings. We left and drove to our... More

This is an excellent way to spend a few hours. How better than to drink such a wonderful whisky. A smooth, mature, beautiful flavoured and "expensive" whisky. The tour was well organised and very well presented.
