This is a great place for a brisk 30 minute walk or an afternoon family visit. Lovely for a picnic or a pot of tea with crumpets and marmite in the cabin. The path around the lake can be a bit muddy in places after rainy weather so sensible shoes are best. We have seen stoats, crested grebe, lots of... More

Country Park that offers a walk around the main lake (1.5 miles). Safe spaces for children to play both near the cafe and at the other end of the park. You can also see some interesting wood carvings and if you are lucky some rarer birds. The cafe usually offers a good range of cakes, teas and coffee to indulge... More

The park caters for all for well, peace and quiet, away from the hustle and bustle, a great place to meander and relax. The cafe is excellent too!

Visited with husband, watched a member of staff eat there lunch then put lippy on with there finger then proceeded to make a sandwich ( hoping it wasn't mine as she had not washed her hands) lovely having an open kitchen but must be aware of who can see what they are doing

We took a picnic there last summer..it's so relaxing and peaceful..lots of walking and wildlife to see. Cafe is good..nice cuppa. I recommend this for chilling out and sitting by the water to unwind. Parking is good..plenty of space. Nice quiet place tucked away.

We went as a multi generation party on a very busy day but the lake walk, playground and cafe were all great and the staff coped well and with good humour faced by hoards of hungry folk! You can buy 30p bags of grain to feed the ducks and swans too. A very good experience.

Visited this in the summer with my partner. We didn't know what to expect and only had photos and available online information to go by... We truly liked it! We spent a good couple of hours exploring the park and delighted by the flora and fauna, and the troll under the bridge. :) There's a café near the entrance for... More

Lovely to walk round anytime of year and see the seasons come and go. There is always lots of wild life to see in this well maintained country park. Then finish off with hot drink or snack in cafe or take a picnic. Children will love to feed the ducks (special food) at a small charge or have fun in... More
