Toddler had a great time on the trains. There are both electric and steam trains. The only problem is the fumes are very excessive. Whilst one would expect the steam engines to smell it is made worse by a small steam train sitting right next to the picnic tables and cafe taking children for a ride around the car parking... More

What a wonderful set up. The train rides last a decent amount of time and travel a lot further than you realise. The people who work there are all clearly passionate about their hobby and take pleasure and delight in sharing information and answering questions about the trains. And the cakes in the cafe went down a treat afterwards!

We visited the summerfields miniature railway and arts gallery for the first time over Easter for a family day out. It's close to my Mothers so we all took a stroll around the site after lunch. It was suitable for all from 3 years old to 70 years old. Despite the wet weather we still managed to have a ride... More

We are regular visitors to Summerfields railway. You can spend an hour or so riding on the miniature trains and tickets are far more reasonable than you would pay for funfair rides. The volunteers are great with the kids and obviously love what they do. I would recommend checking their website before making a visit as they are only open... More

Our family really enjoyed our day out at this attraction. It was my eldest Son’s birthday treat. If your sons and daughters love trains then this is the event for you. The attraction is run by volunteers. They chat to you and your children with great enthusiasm. The look and feel of the place reminds me of my childhood. The... More
