This is a good walk -and not too long, all the way round the tarn and then a cup of tea if the tea rooms are still open!

Very nice for a walk with freinds, children or the dog. Nice and quiet has a smalk play area tio let the kids run around on. Also a small cafe where you can grab a bite to eat or a coffee.

Picturesque scenery, lovely walk, always enjoy taking the dogs to the tarn. So pretty and always kept in clean and tidy condition. Highly recommended for a walk and trip out!

We visited Talkin Tarn after a break of more than 55 years. My husband used to go there are as a child and we wondered what changes there had been since then. Obviously, quite a few! There is a good car park with reasonable parking rates - £2 for the whole day. The walks are well signed and there are... More

Talkin Tarn Park is beautiful. We went on a lovely sunny day and it was perfect. The tea room is quaint and reasonably priced. And the tarn is just long enough for a decent walk.

Been going to Talkin Tarn for many years. Lovely place, good parking, very scenic, cafe, boat hire etc. Very popular, but never crowded. Takes ~40 minutes to walk around. I used to go to Talkin Tarn for lunch when I worked in Brampton, very relaxing.

A pleasant and generally tranquil lake environment. The lakeside walk of about a mile is easily accessible and suitable for pushchairs. Boats and safety equipment for hire. Decent modern toilets available. Picnic table available near the centre but watch out for the dog mess which is everywhere.
