Interesting and interactive museum with a great cafe. Spent a whole day here and returned the next day as it was so good.

I visited tullie house just myself, my 8 year old son and 5 month old baby. We had a great time looking at all of the history, in particular the -1 floor was brilliant, there was a lot of things to interact with and my son liked the 4 interactive pods to find out what you would have been in... We took two children here and they loved it and spent hours interacting with the exhibits! The admission price was reasonable too, as children under 18 are free.

Displays are clear and there is plenty of interactive activities for children. We spent at least 2 hours here as there was lots to see. There is a large indoor café and garden area.

We came after a visit to the castle on a blisteringly hot day. We only had an hour before closing. We focused on the museum part. It was engaging and very interesting with a fascinating section on border reviers. There is an art gallery also but we didn't have time to see that. All told a great little museum in... More

There is some really good exhibitions here from Romans to carlisles very own local history. They also let the kids get involved in arts and crafts which my little one loves to get... More

Various museums and art galleries in this complex. Very good exhibitions, from the romans to broader periods. Interactive, but with enough objects for us. The art gallery had Pre-Raphaelite exhibitions on two floors which were much better than average, e.g. the George Howard collection. The Guildhall is connected and well worth a visit.

Great place to find out about Carlisle and surrounding area. Good exhibits over several floor and other connected buildings. Aim to spend at least half a day there, and try out the Cafe - wonderful cakes and drinks.
