We were undecided whether or not to go into this museum as it looked more as if it was going to be an Art gallery experience rather than a museum, but we enjoyed every minute of the whole five hours we spent in there, the exhibits were excellent and informative and lover the Tullie house itself which had many items... They have a great section on the Hadrian's Wall, the Roman history and the history of Carlisle. Friendly staff.

A sort of big canteen. Staff can be a little surly, food is overpriced. Pre-Raphaelite pics are good, though. Bring a packed lunch!

Although I enjoyed it, it is a very random museum. There is a section for taxidermy, a medieval section, a gallery of paintings and a small theatre. The café was very nice and it was good value for money as there was so much of it to see. Staff really helpful and friendly.

Visited the museum at the conclusion of my Hadrian's Wall walk and thought the quality and breadth of displays excellent along with a very nice lunch in the cafe/restaurant. There are some really interesting displays about the Wall and a really thought provoking exhibit about walls elsewhere like Belfast, Berlin and Israel/Palestine.

My children and husband love touring the museum and spending time in the cafe. Great value for money and the children learn without even knowing it.

Loved this museum and the fact that it is interactive. Kids and adults could dress up in Roman gear. Lots to read and learn. Very impressed.
