Really great museum, with restaurant and art exhibits. I believe you can even get married there now. Great for kids as they can interact, answer lots of questions on computer screens and also dress up

This is our local museum and has lots to see for young and not so young. They have all sorts of activities for children in the school holidays and a full programme of events and lectures all year round The Roman gallery in the basement is outstanding

I bring my 4 year old here regularly. She loves it, she'd come every weekend if she had her way! It's a fantastic museum with enough to occupie her for hours.

As Carlisle residents, my wife and I have often enjoyed visiting Tullie House restaurant. But our grandchildren recently spent a week with us, and we decided to take them around the museum too. Good call! They really enjoyed hearing about the Romans and the Reivers, dressing up as Roman soldiers and as the animals which inhabit Cumbria. They went down... More

Fantastic afternoon out as always! Well done to the staff! We may have gone for years with all three kids but it's still one of our favourite spots we never tire of it!

always clean and the staff pleasant. I'm fond of this place. The Americanos are 1st. rate. Their soup at lunchtime is always a winner. They cater for children and the disabled...the toilets are convenient.

Overall l would say the place could do... More

Its an interesting small museum, with enthusiastic and helful staff - and you can find out some interesting local history - which has been interesting to me as I am not from the area. but the activities and many of the displays are more geared to children, in my humble opinion
