Good variety of shows

We were very pleased with the shows we have seen at the mercury. Good prices and all the seats seem to have a good view of the stage.

Booked to see a musical called Christine the Musical which was fantastic, anyway decided to eat in the theatre restaurant, big mistake, they were very busy and short staffed, still they took the order for the meal knowing they would struggle to serve in time, if only they had explained they were a chef down we would have ordered something... This is a wonderful venue with a great array of plays and shows with something for everyone. The pantomime is fabulous for kids of all ages. I must admit some previous ones have been rather lacking but they seem to be returning to a more traditional approach. The auditorium is comfortable not too cold and good wheelchair access. Sound is... More

I cycled past a bus shelter advertisement for this show on Head Street and mentioned it to my wife who'd never seen it before. We booked tickets for the closing night a few days later.... I was a big fan of the 1980's film starring Rick Moranis and Ellen Greene and had seen the West End show a few years... More

My wife and I have been several times. If you like an engaging and inspiring evening out, then this is for you. All productions have been to a very high standard. We have enjoyed most, some were not to our taste but that's part of the joy of theatre. The quality of production keeps us going back. The panto is... More

Brilliant performance. Excellent singing by all the cast, wonderful scenery and props, couldn't have been better if it was on in the West End of London! Free iced water, as air con being upgraded, but was OK in seats and I am a hot person. Staff always friendly and can park for £1.50 in St Mary's car park. Just give theatre... More

Went to see the Little Shop of Horrors on it's final night and it was amazing! So much fun was had and it was done on par with the West End Shows! Such a great cast and set up. Fun was had by all and everyone around us seemed to enjoy it from start to finish!

For just £10 I had the biggest laugh I've had in any theatre for years. The cast were really professional and sang and danced with great energy. The sound levels were excellent and the stage effects really clever. I loved every minute of it. Well done Mercury!

I saw this twice in one week. Once with a friend and second time with another friend and our thirteen year old sons. It was a fantastic performance and my son loved it. A brilliant production and talented cast. Great night out.
