A good traditional panto, unfortunately spoiled by the anti-Tory gibes. Party politics is the last thing that should figure in something as timeless and innocent as Cinderella, and alienating for a good proportion of the audience.

We go every year to see a pantomime, and this was the second visit to the Mercury theatre. It was a lovely show, good singers, good acting, funny jokes, PERFECT, just what a pantomome should be. The only downside for me is that the items that they sell are the flashing light things, that although they look pretty and the... More

After last year's visit to Mercury Theatre for their non traditional panto - which we didn't enjoy we were hoping the theatre took on board the negative comments from last year and would put on a traditional panto again this year in Cinderella. We were so glad we came back as it was fantastic, the whole cast was brilliant, the... More

Buttons and the Ugly Sisters made the show. My wife and two grand children would have liked more of the comedy and less songs. And the Wicked Stepmother, wicked enough, was far too good looking! The eldest, aged 9 (going on 33) was so impressed she wants to take part in the next one!

My husband and I took our three children to see Cinderella last evening. It was brilliant. Buttons was outstanding and it was good to be in the company of old friends, such as Ignatious Anthony, from previous pantos. We have been going to the panto at the Mercury for about 25 years this was by far the best we have... More

After lasts year disappointing Panto, it was great to see this years panto back to the traditional theme. We all found it fantastic and having the old characters back is what makes a great panto. Please tell all the cast from today's performance (21/12/2014) that they were all great.

Thoroughly enjoyed Cinderlella. We went as a birthday present for grandma and she had a great time. We have been to lots of shows as the Mercury and they have all been good. The atmosphere is the theatre is intimate. Every seat has a good view of the stage and plenty of leg room. Toilet facilities are clean, but could... More

Us four "OAPs" attended the matinée along with numerous school parties. Oh what fun we had joining in with the children shouting, booing, hissing. The cast were all brilliant and the costumes and scenery, fantastic. We too would also liked to have seen a bit more of the coach and horse as it was magnificent. I think the Mercury is... More

Took my Grandson to see Cinderella yesterday, traditional panto, usual cheesyness , great singing and dancing, the set was stunning, really beautiful, wait until you see Cinderella's coach and horse, breathtakingly beautiful. Well done Mercury, you never fail to deliver
