Lovely views, quiet and calm. Several bird species that you don't often see in West Yorkshire, especially at the back of the reserve, in the lakes. My wife and I visit every time we come to Skegness. We never tire of coming here. Waiting for the new visitor centre to be built.

As the title says, although aimed primarily at bird watchers, this nature reserve has lovely peaceful walks for all people and abilities. Dogs are allowed, but must be kept on leads - the beach is totally off limits to dogs between April and October (I assume because of nesting birds - no one uses it otherwise). We took our own... A good place to visit for walks, bird watching and quiet contemplation. Plenty of fresh air to blow away the cobwebs and healthy strolling and after a tea or coffee to be had in the tearoom and maybe a snack.

last visited in 2009 and had to come this year too. only about an hours walk from skeggy along Drummond rd / Gibraltar rd. disappointed that there was not yet the new visitor centre, good nature trail to walk round and there are some hides so you can watch the wild life!

Lovely outdoor area for nature lovers. Walks for all types. Wheelchair friendly in most places. Dogs allowed but must be kept on leads. Disabled/blue badge holders pay for parking. £1 for 2 hours or £3 all day. Take your own refreshments.

We spent the day here, parked in the northern car park, after visiting the centre to get a map. We had the great pleasure of seeing a Turtle Dove, a Spoonbill and a Golden Oriole, we were very surprised by that. There are many pleasant walks, places to sit and picnic in peace, even have a walk along the empty... More

We had been here before so were surprised to see that main buildings including cafe were no longer in one piece we were informed that they had been damaged by a storm surge back in the winter such a shame as lots of work had gone into visitor centre and cafe but still it is an area of very natural... went today and whilst the weather was not great the variety of birds was worth the visit, avocets, oyster catchers, little egrets and a barn owl the pick of the bunch. Best part of Skegness area by a mile
