Really friendly staff, great shows and love the intimacy you get in a small theatre, it's like being sat in your front room!

Well worth a visit. The centre has a cinema, art gallery, coffee shop, bar and ballroom which is used for varied shows. We went to see guitarist John Etheridge with Kit Holmes which was a real treat to see one of the uk's best guitarists. The staff were all friendly and chatty and I look forwards to many more future visits.

In the enchanting town of Stamford, the Arts Centre is a 4 in 1 delight. Beautiful rambling building, delightful theatre/cinema, friendly tourist info, and a great cafe with excellent value simple food. We often travel 50 miles to see shows in the theatre, as we love its intimacy.

We visited Stamford with a friend from overseas, the Arts Centre was a mine of information which we all found useful. The galleries displayed some beautiful paintings, well worth viewing. The place was clean & staff friendly & helpful.

The Arts Centre in Stamford is one of the main attractions of living in this town. It provides a selection of films of all types, live shows and speakers, as well as a list of art classes that would rival anything in a larger town. There is a constant changing exhibition in the gallery which is always good value as... More

The home of Stamfords tourist board, a lovely very reasonable priced cafe, also a small intimate cinema. They often have various events here too. And just as a practical point, if you get caught short in need of a loo, nice clean facilities! The buildings around the art centre are a good example of Stamford's Georgian buildings, St Mary's street... More

The Arts centre is our local cinema. It shows a great mix of mainstream Hollywood movies and the best of international movies. It also screens Opera and Live drama from Opera houses and the National Theatre. The team that work there do a really great job. The audience is pretty grey - haired, attracting many who would never I suspect... More

Being a local I often enjoy attending events at The Stamford Arts Centre, and takemuch pleasure in doing so. The staff is fantastic overall and they have a great selection. I sincerely commend their efforts in bringing such good programmes to the residents of Stamford. That said, That is why it I feel rather bad for writing this review. Recently... More

This place is stuck in a curious time warp - a lovely Georgian building housing a mean, 70s utilitarian, council "community centre". The whole interior needs to be re-furbished for this millennium, especially the chronically cramped seats in the theatre - despite these being only 22 years old. However, one can almost forgive the terminally dreary atmosphere on account of... More
