The Arts Centre is a wonderful asset for Stamford - the cinema shows films about 6 weeks after they have finished viewing in the big cinemas and is also used for NT live Shows as well as cultural and historic talks. The adjoining assembly rooms are also used regularly for markets, shows and talks. It is worth becoming a member... More

We recently spent some time at the arts centre for the open day. We have visited before to see pantomimes, which have all been good. Today was great, albeit rather busy with many families and children around. Be prepared to wait for certain things such as face painting. Overall well recommended for families.

My partner and I went to the cinema after dinner, so nice to be in the town centre. The choice is not as new as the big cinemas but that didn't bother us. As a result, much cheaper too. Staff were extremely friendly and polite. The theatre was beautiful and full of character. The only bad point was the shortage... More

Took my wife and mother-in-law to Stamford Arts Centre to see a play. All seats had a great view. The acting was superb and we really enjoyed the play. They have a cafeteria for snacks and coffee, and ice cream at half time.

The service and standards have been consistent for the seventeen years I have visited this café and it is my favourite in Stamford. Beautiful traditional style baguettes and sandwiches are served and large and well cooked jacket potatoes. A range of other options include bagels, toasties, homemade cakes, scones and a selection of hot and cold drinks. Cleanliness is first... More

Have been a visitor for over 20 years. Have seen many Art films that wouldn't be shown at other cinemas. For me it's been a life line of Culture. Where else is there? Thank you very much.

Really friendly staff, great shows and love the intimacy you get in a small theatre, it's like being sat in your front room!

Well worth a visit. The centre has a cinema, art gallery, coffee shop, bar and ballroom which is used for varied shows. We went to see guitarist John Etheridge with Kit Holmes which was a real treat to see one of the uk's best guitarists. The staff were all friendly and chatty and I look forwards to many more future visits.

In the enchanting town of Stamford, the Arts Centre is a 4 in 1 delight. Beautiful rambling building, delightful theatre/cinema, friendly tourist info, and a great cafe with excellent value simple food. We often travel 50 miles to see shows in the theatre, as we love its intimacy.

We visited Stamford with a friend from overseas, the Arts Centre was a mine of information which we all found useful. The galleries displayed some beautiful paintings, well worth viewing. The place was clean & staff friendly & helpful.
