Naturally beautiful, with its golden sand, Sandbanks Beach has been designated by the European Commission as one of the few areas in the United Kingdom which has achieved the highest standard of cleanliness. Sandbanks has held the highly coveted international Blue Flag for the past 24 years and offers a designed area for barbeques and swimmers. New slacklining posts have been installed. Equipment is available to hire from the beach office. Activities at Sandbanks include crazy golf, a children's play area and the Sandbanks Beach Cafe. The number 50 Wilts and Dorset bus from Bournemouth Station to Swanage stops near to the beach (generally every half hour in the summer). There is a car park next to the beach that holds 550 cars, 5 for disabled use.

Not the greatest event at £6 a pop for adults, but passes some time whilst in Sandbanks. Pitch looks worn in some places, as well as the surroundings being poorly maintained. Shame as the children's playground next to it is superb. Place shuts its last round at 18:00hrs (ish dependant upon weather). No free parking nearby - £2 an hour... More

Got lost and ended up here. It was great. Family friendly and clean. Kids really enjoyed it and me and my husband could relax and knew they were safe. No loutish behaviour or litter everywhere! Bit of a job convincing my daughter we had to go home!

Beautiful place to visit. Would love to live in this area it's a gorgeous place. The houses are fantastic and the beach area is lovely. If your into water sports then this is the place to go. The water is quite shallow so excellent for lots of water sports.

Since visiting Poole as a child I had aspired to stay at the Sandbanks Hotel. Sometimes dreams should stay dreams. But the beach.....wow....good as ever.

Loved this exclusive place especially for the sandy beach and kids activities organised by the hotel. A bit quiet if you like a night life, but Poole and Bournemouth are very close and with lots to do!

Lovely clean beach, great views of Bournemouth, the toilets could have been a lot I repeat a lot cleaner especially as the parking for £4 for approx 4 hours. Cadbury Boat selling ice creams was a good idea.
