Naturally beautiful, with its golden sand, Sandbanks Beach has been designated by the European Commission as one of the few areas in the United Kingdom which has achieved the highest standard of cleanliness. Sandbanks has held the highly coveted international Blue Flag for the past 24 years and offers a designed area for barbeques and swimmers. New slacklining posts have been installed. Equipment is available to hire from the beach office. Activities at Sandbanks include crazy golf, a children's play area and the Sandbanks Beach Cafe. The number 50 Wilts and Dorset bus from Bournemouth Station to Swanage stops near to the beach (generally every half hour in the summer). There is a car park next to the beach that holds 550 cars, 5 for disabled use.

Best beach I have ever been to! Park your car on the side of the road - pay and display and walk down short path past bowling park! Hey presto you are on the beach! No dogs and no litter! Life guards patrolling and perfect golden sand. Absolutely spotless and safe. A must for sea worshipers.

I've visited this beach a few times, with my folk, and alone with my camera. It's lovely in lots of ways, but it's a bit busy for my taste; Studland over the other side of the chain ferry is much quieter and better for walking along. Still, if you're in Poole, you really must visit Sandbanks, if only to gaze... More

Absolutely amazing especially on a hot day. The only criticism is the parking charges. Love the ice cream boat!

Definitely the nicest beach in England. Lovely sand, lovely see, very tidy, toilets are good, facilities good. Car park gets chocca and a bit pricey but it is rather posh!

We arrived by approx 9:30am and there was ample parking available which was very close to the beach. Hired 2x desk chairs and 1x wind breaker (£9 after deposit refund). Found a nice spot on the beach and enjoyed the 25C weather. Sand is lovely, plenty of space for everyone. Very impressed with safety at Sandbank. Lifeguards alert and concentrating... More

Not my favourite beach but it is good. The only downside is the lack of things on the beach front. For example, Weymouth has everything you need for the day on the beach. Weymouth still remains my favourite beach.

Lovely houses but the best are gated. Lovely drive around with sea views on both sides. The chain ferry looked interesting.

Such a stunning beach with gorgeous sand. Parking was hefty but worth it and ample parking available if you include that out on the street (same price). Plenty of eating places available at surprisingly reasonable cost. The crazy golf is great and worth a visit!
