Naturally beautiful, with its golden sand, Sandbanks Beach has been designated by the European Commission as one of the few areas in the United Kingdom which has achieved the highest standard of cleanliness. Sandbanks has held the highly coveted international Blue Flag for the past 24 years and offers a designed area for barbeques and swimmers. New slacklining posts have been installed. Equipment is available to hire from the beach office. Activities at Sandbanks include crazy golf, a children's play area and the Sandbanks Beach Cafe. The number 50 Wilts and Dorset bus from Bournemouth Station to Swanage stops near to the beach (generally every half hour in the summer). There is a car park next to the beach that holds 550 cars, 5 for disabled use.

We have been to Sandbanks beach many times over the years, and on each return it still gives us lots of pleasure. The beach is immaculate, the surroundings are wonderful and it seems everybody when there are happy, giving a pleasant and vibrant feeling. Toilets, shops, restaurants .all well placed and spotlessly clean. Car parking somewhat inadequate and expensive, with... More

Ages since we last visited but still a good clean beach with plenty of services including clean toilets. The parking was. a little expensive as was the crazy golf which had too many holes in the carpets for my liking

I knew this years ago when you could just pull up with your picnic jump through the dunes and stay all day- heavenly days indeed. Times change. Sadly. It's now like a huge amusement beach aimed at fun fun and more fun. I got dizzy watching endless volleyball, it's a very in yer face type of place now. Got ripped... More

Went to the beach after a day out in Poole and having a ferry trip round Poole harbour. The beach was very busy but found a nice spot near the water. The sand was very clean and wasn't the usual UK beach experience as it was was very peaceful and warm!! Would love to have spent a few more there!!

You must visit this cafe!! You are greeted by the owner David, who makes each and everyone feel so welcome. He greets everybody and his wife runs everything else. We had a great breakfast and returned later for afternoon drinks. Wish we had returned for dinner as we would have had a great evening. We're in love with this place... More

People always seem to be enjoying themselves whether they are sunbathing, playing volleyball, or just chilling out. Several amenities are provided, a large car park, volleyball nets, a bbq area a nice clean beach and the rest... More
