We used to visit Sandbanks in the 60's and have to say this is one of the best beaches in England. On a sunny day you would think it was the Caribbean! Beautiful clean sands for miles. We were there in June and the weather was fabulous and it was never crowded. There are a few good cafés and clean... More

What's not to like. Stunning scenery, great walks, good cafe scene. White beach. Not cheap. Can be very busy so good to find a quiet spot near evening hill. Have to book hotels months in advance as families return year after year.

Lovely beaches, great views but overcrowded. On summer weekends it gets gridlocked, parking is impossible, and it's becoming a haunt for the unpleasant super rich.

Fantastic beach, very classy area. You have view of Poole harbour on the one side of sandbanks then a beautiful sandy beach on the other. The poole harbour side you can hire windsurfers, boats, bikes etc right next to the sandbanks hotel. Walked from sandbanks, where we were staying, to Bournemouth along the promenade, passing must have been thousands of... More

This is a beautiful area, the water is clean and clear, beaches stretch on and on, a must see if you are in Dorset, lots of great hotels, favourite is the Harbour Heights, don't forget to try Chez Fred's chip shop in Westbourne too...

Went to Sandbanks during the recent hot spell. The beach is really nice and the sea looked very clean If the weather was consistent this area around Dorset rates highly with the rest of the world. The only pitfall is the car park prices they are expensive you are looking at £6.50 for 4 hours. The prices are all much... More

Sandbanks has everything, it has sea, sand and views to die for. You can wander at your leisure and take in the wonderful vista that makes sandbanks one of the most desirable (and expensive) places to live in. There are a few shops as well as a good range of eateries and plenty of places to take in the natural... More
