Naturally beautiful, with its golden sand, Sandbanks Beach has been designated by the European Commission as one of the few areas in the United Kingdom which has achieved the highest standard of cleanliness. Sandbanks has held the highly coveted international Blue Flag for the past 24 years and offers a designed area for barbeques and swimmers. New slacklining posts have been installed. Equipment is available to hire from the beach office. Activities at Sandbanks include crazy golf, a children's play area and the Sandbanks Beach Cafe. The number 50 Wilts and Dorset bus from Bournemouth Station to Swanage stops near to the beach (generally every half hour in the summer). There is a car park next to the beach that holds 550 cars, 5 for disabled use.

The sun is out and I can't think of a better place to be. Sat here watching the world go by dogs enjoying the sea, plenty of boats passing by.

Simply the best, been coming here for years. The beaches are the best you will find in the U.K. Summer does get busy so arrive early if you need to park your car.

Great beach which for some reason I'd never been to before. Parking and other facilities good and a really nice walk up to the Haven hotel and around the area. Views over Poole harbour and Brownsea Island on the opposite side of the road to the beach are just beautiful.

I visited with some friends in mid-March 2015. We used the chain ferry. The whole area looks stunning, the beaches appear very nice and the locals friendly. Really nice place to visit.

You can walk from Bournemouth pier to Sandbanks in around 40 minutes or drive there is s large Car park but it does fill up wuickly in the summer. Or you can catch a number of buses. The beaches... Visited while on holiday with the kids. Beautiful beach with lovely views. It was an unplanned visit but kids striped down and spent hours playing in the water and sand. Can't wait to visit again

I recently visited over the Easter weekend but regularly come back to Sandbanks. It is a beautiful beech, well kept, golden sand as far as the eye can see and great views. Clean facilities e.g. toilets, refreshment stands, nice Jazz café. The parking is fairly expensive but to be expected for the location. There is also a mini golf site... More

If the weather wasn't so foggy and you could actually see the water then I know I would've been impressed. The sand and surrounding town looks amazing. but right along the water you can't see past your nose, let alone the islands and beauty of the harbour
