We live locally and come here as groups of friends, or with kids, or elderly parents. It's ideal for a picnic, or football game, and had a gorgeous garden too. Check out the pretty house and cafe if you have time. Lots of parking and open space - lovely!

It's all been happening here since my last visit. The gardens and house have always been attractive but now the nearby farm land has been turned into a very pleasant walk and plans are afoot to turn these into an attraction in their own right, this will include an enclosed dog-run area. Sadly, the Romano Britain homestead had been destroyed... More

Upton is a lovely place to take the family for the day, take the dog for a walk or a lovely cycle ride. There's a bike path which goes around the country park. Great views of holes bay and some really good bird watching. Great place to visit!!

The fountain in the walled garden is a winner in the summer and gets very busy. The wooded walks are great all year round and with the recent acquisition of more local farmland, that is also set to get better. One of the best things about Upton, apart from bumping into school friends if you are local, is that there... More

We've been visiting here for the last 15 years for walks, spring through to winter I have to say the improvements over the years have been excellent they have listened to the locals and everything is done tastefully and without damage to what is already a beautiful place. The walled garden and water feature is the summer is a joy,... More

Lovely place to go; which is free which makes it even better! Disabled/child/dog friendly. Normally ample parking; though sunny weekends/school holidays can be a bit busy and difficult to find a space. 'Teashop' with basic drinks/snacks. Sometimes there's art exhibitions. If there's been even a hint of rain it's often wet and muddy so wear wellies! Good public loos right... More

The large grounds are full of woodland with good footpaths for walking & bike riding (not all paths are open to bikes). Not too steep, not too hard! The house looks excellent though I didn't enter. The extensive gardens were being used for picnics. It's FREE!!
