Ive been visiting upton country park since I was little. There are some lovely walks through woodland, nice gardens, and a lot of natural climbing frames, and swings for children, as well as water fountains in front of the cafe for lots of fun in the summer! A lovely way to spend a couple of hours, and its free too!

A beautiful house set in beautiful gardens. This place really is a gem, the grounds manage to caters for all age groups, there is masses of open space for ball games and family picnics, dog walkers are welcome to enjoy the grounds too. There are tea rooms. I recently attended a workshop, which was very well organised and had the... More

Lovely country park which is free to visit and open to the public. Wonderful waterfront walks with lots of seabirds to spot, cafe/tea rooms, beautiful gardens, awesome trees, dogs allowed, loos and free parking. Good for an afternoon out on a budget.

This is one of the best free outdoor attractions in Poole with plenty of free parking and amenities for both able & disabled visitors alike. There is an excellent cafe with art gallery above it and also a very welcome kiosk run by volunteers where you can get a hot or cold drink, ice-creams and sweets. There is plenty for... More

Our fourth visit for enjoying the superb grounds and a spot of bird-watching. It was a very crisp, frosty, sunny morning, so the bay was partly frozen, but we still saw about 24 species. Great photo opportunities in the grounds as well, with frost covering things, very atmospheric. We always enjoy walking here and visit whenever possible and it is... More

I love this place! You can come here and park for free, walk around the beautiful grounds, take picnics, feed the ducks and in the summer, sit by the water fountains in the walled garden. All can be done without spending a single penny! I'm always happy to buy an ice cream or drink from the cafe though as they... More

We are very lucky to have this wonderful park, within walking of our house. Every time we visit, there seems to have been some slight, but tasteful improvement carried out. There are number of scenic walks ,great places to have picnics, a brilliant cafe and above it the Peacock gallery, which hosts exhibitions by local artists throughout the year. In front of... More

Visited Upton Country Park on a Segway Experience, which was excellent and took us throughout the whole park, which Is a good way to admire the beauty of the park. I would like to go back to the park in May to appreciate it in full bloom. The car park can get very busy, so take this into account.

Often go to Upton park to walk the dogs, free to park the car. Be careful if its been raining because the ground gets very waterlogged. Christmas wreath workshop in the big house last weekend was brilliant, excellent value for money- mulled wine, mince pies, tea coffee and biscuits and you got to take the wreath home, all for £20....
