You do not have to pay to go to Upton Country Park. There is a large house which is sometimes open to the public, usually for craft shows etc. The grounds are extensive and include open woodland, a walled garden and cafes. Suitable for small children to run around freely. You can take your own picnic.

Having lived in Dorset for over 30 years this was our first visit. This truly is a great place to take the kids for a whole days entertainment or just to have a nice casual meander through the grounds.A reasonably priced cafe for tea, coffee and cake. Will definitely go back through the year.

For a morning or afternoon walk you really can't beat this. Wide open spaces for under 12s to run around, cafe usually open and toilets on site. No charge but voluntary £2 donation being introduced for parking. Well Worth It!!

The park has a good selection of interesting trees. The walled garden has some wonderfully fragrant roses and is very beautiful. The tea shop is basic but has good sandwiches and cake, there is a fun water feature that the small children were having a great time with getting very wet! There is a small art gallery with small displays... More

We often come down on a sunny day and bring our picnic which either we have out in the grounds or in the walled garden, if he water feature is on our little one loves running in and out of it with the other children. There's a great walk around the park with wooden features along the way to climb... More
