I have not visited this venue before or ever been to a greyhound race. My impression was that both the venue and the event is very well run indeed. All of the staff we met were very friendly and informative so no issues at all. We ate upstairs and the food was very tasty and represented very good value. The... More

We had the meal option. Meal was OK - the advantage being that you have a 'runner' who places your bets for you and collects your winnings (if there are any!)

Booking was painless, were shown to our table by a very pleasant young person who also took orders for our drinks and our food. Yes the food is mass produced and therefore you should choose wisely but where else could you get a 3 course meal for £18. I had lamb kebabs, followed by roast pork (potatoes were over cooked)... We came for a friend's birthday and went on a Saturday in the afternoon it was free entry!! which we did not expect. I bet on every race and only used £10 although i didn't win it was such good fun. The betting machines are very easy to use and the betting cards were really useful. I would recommend getting... More

Enjoyed a night at the dogs. Entrance is only a few pounds. If you are lucky you can go home with more than you came with.

A good night out with the family. Pre-booked food in the restaurant which has a good overview of the track. You can choose from ap 6 starters and ap 6 mains. The food was nice, but not great. Attentive waiters. The tote came around to the tables to collect the bets. She was very patient and helpful for us newbeginners.

Having had a group event at Poole Greyhounds it was an ok evening let down by some small issues that make the difference if it were going to be considered again. The good bits were the dogs themselves, whatching from a great advantage point in the restaurant was a refreshing change to the normal night out. Most of the staff... More

We have been attending Poole greyhound meetings for many years and although our visits are only every 3 or 4 months, we have seen a decline during the past couple of years. There is a lovely lady on reception, who, bless her, is the most charming lady you could wish to meet. She has been working there for years and... More
