Went to the fat cat for a night out with a couple of friends with a pint, large white wine and a bacardi and coke costing less than a tenner, what's not to like. The Fat Cat is one of those pubs that you could easy pass by built into one end of a terrace of housing. we visited here in July as we are fans of real ale.What a lovely place the beer was excellent and it has a very pleasant garden to sit in.Adults only.No food served in the evening but you can order a takeaway from local restaurants,the pub supplies plates cutlery etc.Lunchtimes they do food simple fayre but very good.Have been there twice... Adults only (strictly enforced). No food served except for excellent scotch eggs! You can order a takeaway from the many local restaurants from Sunday to Thursday. Plates, cutlery, napkins provided. Great range of beers, lagers and ciders. Tables can be reserved. Beer garden. Covered smoking area.

the fat cat is definitely one of the best pubs in Ipswich, it always has a good selection of beers and lagers. they let you order takeaway on certain nights and provide cutlery for you.the garden out the back is lovely in the summer too. it can get busy and crowded but that is the mark of a good pub...
