Went to the fat cat for a night out with a couple of friends with a pint, large white wine and a bacardi and coke costing less than a tenner, what's not to like. Very quick service even when it got busy. No loud music, just good old fashioned chit chat, very freindly great atmosphere. Recommended if you like a... More

The Fat Cat is one of those pubs that you could easy pass by built into one end of a terrace of housing. The staff know there... More

After hearing a lot of good things about this place from family and friends, me and a few other decided to try it out. Upon arrival, the staff and what seemed to be the locals, were very friendly. Sometimes when you walk into a pub, you get stared down by some of these locals, but not this place. There was... More

One of the best pubs in Ipswich, if not the very best. Great choice of beers, excellent atmosphere, a great garden to enjoy the good weather, this pub has it all!

We recently paid a visit to Ipswich where there are a number of great places to eat and drink one of which is the "Fat Cat Freemouse" (not a typo) public house. This is about half a mile from the city centre and is a well known drinking establishment. It is an unimposing red brick building on Spring Road but... More

This is a lovely little pub and probably one of the best pubs I've ever been in. Liz was a fantastic host and the service was excellent. It's woody and charming. Selection of beers is awesome. Absolutely wonderfully peaceful beer garden full of friendly locals. If there was anything to fault about the place it would be lack of parking... More
