We visited today with my 7 year old niece and 3 year old nephew and we had a brilliant day out. The sun was out and the farm was looking at it's best. Both of the children really enjoyed seeing the animals and walking around the farm discovering the swing on the tree and chatting about all the animals they... More

Had been as a child but returned on lambing time as an adult and my how surprised I was at how great it still was! The farm has a good range of animals for it's size and they are all extremely friendly. You are easily able to get hands-on with the animals who will enjoy a mouthful of grass or... More

We went with 2 seven year olds and a nine year old, and had a fantastic time. The staff were amazingly helpful with my daughter who was initially very scared of holding a lamb. Thank you so much to shepherdess Kate. My daughter can't stop talking about the 'special lamb'. Very good value for money and a lovely setting.

I took my one year old grand-daughter and 9 year old step grand-daughter to Baylham in April 2012. It was wonderful. So many animals to see, llamas, long-horned cattle, goats. pigs, and many more, but most memorable were the lambs. My step grand-daughter, along with about seven other children, were able to sit with a lamb actually on their laps.... More

This is a funny little place but it is perfect for an afternoon out with younger children as they can get up close and feed lots of animals and admission is very reasonable - top tip though - take a tub for the animal food as the paper bags it comes in won't make it round the farm !!

This is a great place to visit. The café has a shop with interesting gifts for children. The animals and birds are great to visit and can be fed with pellets from the shop.

Took my niece and nephew here. Very expensive for one adult! Reception is in same room as gift shop and cafe-hardly any room to move. The animals-what animals?! Pigs and goats...the layout of the place was scruffy. Not impressed walking past a massive dirt pile of straw and poo. Spent literally half an hour here. Don't go here-go to Easton... More

My family and I went on Naked Sheep Day which was when they sheared the sheep. It was interesting to see this but for very small children the noise of the shearing machine can be quiet frightening. The grass paths around the enclosures can be difficult with a pushchair as there are tree roots sticking up etc. There was a... More

Hello, my friend and myself visited The Rare Breeds Farm at Baylham, nr Ipswich, Suffolk yesterday. We took three children aged between 1 and 3. Firstly, I need to comment on the fantastic lunch that we had. We each had a ham roll, when I complimented the staff on the quality of the food they informed me that the bread... More

We paid £6 each for two adults and our 18 month old got in free. We were only there an hour so didnt feel this was value for money. In fairness it was a cold day, but there really wasn't much to do. Most of our time was spent queuing to see the lambs. Some of the walks were closed... More
