Shows what can be done to a scruffy run-down area

This is one of the places where you can go, sit and relax in the town - especially in the evenings. Dotted with small restaurants throughout, you can enjoy food and drinks. You can take small boats from here to Felixstowe in the River Orwell.

Excellent place to visit for all ages, lots of restaurants, coffee shops and beautiful views, yachts and boats to look at, boat rides and right next to the impressive university, Sunday's with live music at Isaacs on the quay are excellent, so all in all great days and nights, you can also get married at Isaacs chapel,

The part that has been redeveloped has been done very nicely with the mariner and all the boats. However there is much still to be done .Some has been started and then been left in limbo.Lets hope it will be moved along soon.⚓

What used to be a run-down industrial area is in the process of being transformed into a vibrant and attractive marina with plenty of reasonable eating/drinking places. Lots of different types of boats. A nice place to stroll on a nice evening.

Looking out of the water is absolutely stunning, where ever you stand on the waterfront. However, turn to look behind you and you will either be hit by the cosmopolitan feel of the place, with its popular bars and cafes, or you will be put off by the empty carcssses of buildings that have not been developed, grafitti and a... One can see the development of the waterfront is moving along at a fast pace. Still plenty to do but if one looks beyond the buildings needing renovating and see what has already be accomplished. The place is a interesting place to start the night and finish the night .

Whilst worth a visit if you like boats and marine areas but this waterfront is still work in progress. A few coffee houses and bars but scarce on restaurants. Perhaps we missed something.
