Now a beautiful world class waterfront with trendy bars and restaurants. Great place to eat and chill out, eat your heart out Saint-Tropez

Well worth a visit if you like looking at boats and enjoy a waterfront location. There is parking available and a choice of eating/coffee places. We went on a lovely sunny afternoon and sat outside with our drinks watching the world go by. Very relaxing but not much to do for young children.

We had a nice walk around the waterfront on a Sunday morning. We spotted a café where people were having breakfast, which looked nice. We checked out all the yachts, and although in spots there was garbage floating in the water, we were surprised to see lots of jelly fish.

Good selection of restaurants. Beautiful to stroll along weather permitting. Plenty of events during summer months which cater for everyone.

The waterfront is full of life, a great place for an evening out. If you want to eat do book a table well in advance as all the restaurants on the quay were extremely busy.

A really lovely walk along the water front looking at the boats and watching the boats coming and going , plenty of places to stop for a drink or a meal Would recommend the salt house hotel for a good coffee

Stayed in hotel on the waterfront in Meptune Quay. Waterfront festival taking place so very busy but interesting. Nice walk around waterfront. Many bars and restaurants along the waterfront

The overall experience was very poor. Ipswich is traffic hell as anyone who has visited knows. As soon as we hit the town we crawled all the way to the waterfront area. Parking and access there is also woeful. The waterfront area has not changed since my last visit a couple of years ago. Still many derelict and unfinished buildings... More

Just a pipe dream by councillors,a poor mans Southampton marina, limited parking, pedestrian access abysmal have to cross two main roads, half finished derelict buildings, a couple of restaurants, but like everything in Ipswich the motorist is not catered for ,parking should be plentiful
