Up and coming.

More and more development by the day in a previously run down area. Issacs is a lovely bar, looks lovely of an evening.

The Waterfront a mainly attractive area, on the River Orwell where it meets Ipswich town centre. It is re-developing at the moment, and re-generating too, but this doesn't detract too much from the ambiance and waterfront/ river basin/ marina feel to the place. There are lots of places to eat, and/ or drink, for all pockets, from tea shops to... More

Lovely waterfront at Ipswich with plenty of cafes restaurants and bars to choose from. Quite lively as you have the university at one end, so quite a few young people using the facilities. Lovely to sit and people watch.

Lovely place for a walk or to go for a drink and meal. Such a beautiful setting. In the summer you can take boat trips from the marina

Caught up with sisters and their spouses for dinner in Ipswich. Never tried this restaurant before but glad we did as it turned out to be a very pleasurable evening and with the restaurant being only a 5 minute walk from our hotel (Salthouse Hotel) it was an easy stroll between the two. Good menu selection, food and wine prices... More

A very interesting and lively place that is vibrant, full of character and close to everytbing that you would expect from a county town (that is worthy of city status)!

I used to work on the waterfront and it was such a beautiful place to work. Really picturesque. It makes for some great pictures at night too.

Went down to the waterfront on New Years Eve. Had a few drinks and watched the firework display to see the new year in. Lots of people and lots of bars to see the new year in. Worth a visit, But maybe in the summer when more would be going on
