I am a season ticket holder with my dad in the Sir Bobby Robson stand. Fantastic atmosphere, real 80's style ground. Would recommend to all ages!

Came up from Portsmouth to watch the FA Cup tie on January 9. Easy to find from the station or town. Stewards well organised and polite to away fans. Staff at food outlets inside were friendly although the queues were long and slow. Seating for away fans is good with clear views of the pitch. We were lucky enough to... More

Whilst well maintained, this is not one of the modern clip together Stadiums and is full of character. Traditional style Stands of mixed architecture make for an interesting setting and with a good crowd at a Cup game, the atmosphere was excellent. The ground is central and very near to both rail and bus transport with the addition of a... More

I went to a match in 1994 and have been to pretty much every match since! Yes the team has highs and lows, but it's a great feeling when Ipswich score a goal and win a match...sets you up nicely for the week ahead. Portman Road is a 30,000 seater stadium and in the Championship usually gets crowds around 18,000.... More

Were in Ipswich to see the match against Sheffield Wednesday and really enjoyed it a lot. The stadium itself gives a bit of an 80ties impression, but in a positive way. Home crowd delivered a good support. So the whole atmosphere was really enjoyable. I would visit again.

The stadium has continued to be very well maintained over the years of promotion and relegation, and in the most recent years some of the additions like the graffiti artwork in the Britannia Stand (I still call it that) are much welcomed. They add a bit of character to what would otherwise be dull white walls. When the match is... More

Went here to see Ipswich - Bournemouth on the 3rd of April. This stadium has a great atmosphere, and you can feel the roar when the Blues scores.

Very central in Town makes the stadium really convenient. The Portman pie is excellent - would recommend it! I have never been to the stadium and had a bad view. The pitch is always in good condition. If you get a chance to do the stadium tour it is interesting, a lot of Bobby Robson history, and our tour guide... More

As a season ticket for several season we have ups and downs on the pitch. The service at bars are busy at half time and there is no structure to the queuing. They should take a look other stadiums that have a barrier that assists with queuing. Which makes it a much fairer system. Apart from that the ground is... More
