A lovely theatre

Always enjoy ourselves here, not seen a 'bad' production yet, really good shows. Had nice wine at the bar too!

Had a good night with family and friends, seats are well positioned so no matter what price one will get a good view of the performance, bar and café excellent.

The Wolsey theatre is a lovely theatre. Has an excellent range of shows for all ages and genres. However for me I have never missed their rock and roll panto. I have seen every one since they started and it is now a tradition in my family at Christmas. If you can only go to one panto each year then... More

The Wolsey no longer allows concessions for Seniors and the £10 seats are sold so far in advance, that when I check out what's available I find the only seats are £27-£32, which I think is too expensive. I have relatives who used to visit from London when a show was to their liking but can no longer afford to... More

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your views, Linda. As with every business we do have to review our prices from time to time, and this is especially the case as a registered charity. I'm happy to see you are aware of our £10 tickets, and we're very pleased to still be able to offer them.... More

Visited the New Wolsey Theatre for the first time last Friday to see Jonny & The Baptists: Rock The Vote. While the show wasn't really my thing (I won my tickets in a competition), I thought the theatre was great. The seat pitch is just right so you can always see even if a really tall person is in front... More

Recent two experiences this season have been great. A lovely theatre with very helpful staff. Whether with grandchildren experiencing a very interactive performance superbly acted or as a couple laughing at the wonderful feminist show this theatre does not disappoint. Do not hesitate to visit.

Being devoted fans of LipService we travelled from Colchester to Ipswich to see their wonderful production of 'The Picture of Doreen Gray' at The Wolsey. We had not expected to find such easy parking in the immediately adjacent and brilliantly 'hidden' 'Spiral'; nor such a friendly, busy and efficient café within a bustling centre of community. I am not a... More

Our first visit to the New Wolsey Theatre was a resounding success. We saw "The Three Lions" and were captivated from the off. It is a very funny play which bowls along with its actors portraying Cameron, Becks and Prince William trying to secure the 2018 World Cup for England. We were also happy with the booking process, our seats,... More

Small, intimate, friendly, and always a good performance. Especially the Christmas rock panto! you need to book early to ensure you get a seat.

Thanks for the review and your kind words. It's great to hear you've had enjoyable experiences with us. That is very good advice both for Panto and the main season shows, book early to get the best seats at the best prices. See you soon! More
