The New Wolsey is a lovely modern theatre with all seats giving an excellent view of the stage. They put on a large variety of shows - plays, comedy nights (for young and old), music events etc. Namely something for all tastes. Therefore if on a visit to Suffolk you find that there is something off interest on at the... More

We always love going to the theatre especially the Wolsey. It is easy to park. Inside the theatre the seats are comfy and you are not too far from the stage even on the back row. They have a wide selection of entertainment form plays to comedy and really good panto.

A lovely intimate theatre and during the year puts on a variety of plays and musicals for all tastes, two car parks near by so not far to walk. The Wolsey has a bar/cafe area with plenty of seating but can get crowded on occassions during mid interval time. The seating gives good views of the stage from all points... More

Get son their mailing list for future programmes. You will not be disappointed for there is always something for all tastes. They are not afraid to bring on the new but the old is also catered for. It is a must

The New Wolsey puts on a good variety of plays, some comedy club nights and some musicals. I really loved "The Marriage of Figaro" brought to us for one night only by The Swansea City Opera. It was perfect. The touring priduction of Brian Friel's play, "Translations" was also good.

The New Wolsey was remodelled a couple of years ago. The cafe/bar area is really nice. You want to get there early to have a beverage before the play. It has possibly the best Panto in the country. Also the volunteers should get a mention as they are very helpful.

Love this theatre. I book for friends probably 6/8 times a year. Such variety, Threepenny Opera a few weeks ago and Thursday Betty Blue Eyes, can't wait! Wherever you sit, a very good view.
