Ipswich is blessed with some fantastic parks but Cristchurch Park outshines them all. It runs literally from the town centre to very close to the northern town boundary. The park slopes north to South and gives a fantastic vie across the whole town, over the river and up to the Orwell bridge. The park boasts several attractions including the pond,... More

It's a park, with a mansion museum (separate entry) and lots of space, and greenery, and sports, and a childrens play are. So basically, it does what it says on the tin, and rather well as it's so big. Also hosts a huge firework display (pay for tickets) in November, which is well worth seeing.

The park is an oasis to be enjoyed by everyone, plenty of space for all. Great children's play area fenced to keep dogs out, good place to walk dogs too.

Battisford walking group spent around an hour in Christchurch Park prior to visiting the Wet Dock area, the park is well worth a visit, lots of families enjoying the winter sun, only downside is the litter that decorates various areas.

Took my friends dog and my daughter to this park. Lots of beautiful areas for all ages somewhere to have tea/coffee and good children's play area. Would love to return in the spring.

Christchurch Park is very close to Ipswich town centre, just a quick walk. Within the park is Christchurch Mansion - a Tudor brick mansion house, which you can visit for free (it is well worth your time). You can wander around the park's upper and lower arboretums, the path will take you past tennis courts, croquet lawns and a band... More

I use the outside ground for walking exercise as it has a multi level so you feel you have had a work out. It's also nice early in the morning watch the squirrels racing around and seeing different birds around too as the is a bird watch place there and most people like to feed the ducks, geese and swans... A place of calm close to the town centre and the mansion an interesting placed to visit. The art gallery's Constable exhibition is outstanding.

I have used this place for years as a place where you can escape from the noise and hubbub of 21st century living and appreciate the environment that can be found even in a busy county town like Ipswich.
