This beach is lovely, fairly sandy & ideal for children. On the days we were there it was quite sheltered and had lovely views of Conway & the mountains.

Dropped in here for the first time having been to North Beach before. There is a huge expanse of sandy beach that stretches for miles at low tide. The sand dunes offer a wind break if there is an easterly breeze. Fantastic for walking, relaxing, cycling or playing games. Stay for the fantastic sunsets.

This place is a hidden gem. It is so unlike the busy North Shore. It is peaceful with few shops and a vast sandy beach. There is plenty of parking and a very nice cafe with toilets at the East end - there are only pay to go cubicles on the beach and they do not always work so beware.... More

What can you say? Stunning sunsets, Beautiful looking water, a beach the kids enjoyed, with plenty of rocks to climb over. Start at the top, and walk to Conway - say 2.5 to 3 hours - flat all the way: Wonderful place.

This side is quieter than the promenade as it's more a residential area. Lovely walkable beach with lots of places to sit and enjoy the views and chat with people.

Great beach, not as busy as the north shore. Easier to park. Great views, lovely park. Only downside is you have to pay to use the toilets. Overall it was lovely! Shall Return!

West Shore is a much better beach than the busier North Shore. It's easy to park (and free if you avoid the council car park), there's plenty of space to move about, a sandy beach, a miniature railway (sometimes) and a children's play park. The West Shore Beach Cafe is a very good refreshment stop when it's open but unfortunately... More

My boys loved the play park. They could easily have spent hours here. There are plenty of swings slides and for the little monkeys of this world climbing frames. All inside a safe gated playground.

This a nice peaceful beach, sandy and quiet. It can be reached by the road train that runs from the Pier. £2.50 return but it is not too far to walk.
