We liked the look of the well maintained town. The shops were great individual ones plus there is the big shopping areas.

the promenade is lovely to walk along and is very clean and tidy the beach is not up to much as it is full of pebbles and the sea is not very clean there are a few statues from alice in wonderland along the prom and a few huts which offer attractions and a lovely floral clock

We enjoyed walks along the wide, sweeping prom flanked by the beach on one side and many stunning and well kept buidings on the other - most of them hotels and guest houses.

Lovely beach, especially if you have youngster. They can explore rock pools, tour the harbour on a pleasure craft. Eat candiflos or ice cream or walk along the prom. The shopping is excellent and the parking is free for Blue Badge holders (for the whole of the stay). There are also lots of 'specialist' shops to enjoy.

The promenade is kept very clean and is ideal for a pleasant stroll by the seaside. There are a few little rides and stalls on the pier and plenty of places for a coffee or ice cream.

Warning..do not eat food, particularly ice cream on the prom. The seagulls will ATTACK you !!!!! They attack from behind, particular around the pier area..The long flat, wide prom is ideal for walkers, joggers and cyclists alike and there is plenty of room for both.

Pure Victorian charm. No tacky boardwalk businesses. It's a sidewalk with charming guest houses lining the street across from a wide beach. Usually quiet, but we happened to be there during a motorcycle club fundraiser for the beach rescue organization. Amazing motorcycles, many as vintage as the town.
