this is a nice place for a picnic on a nice summers day with great views it has winding paths and plenty of trees and plants
It's a bit of a steep walk to get there but a steady pace does the trick. The park is very well cared for and has lots to see from Alice in Wonderland characters to standing stones. We even saw some rabbits.
Recently visited Happy Valley gardens over the Christmas period. We walked along the road past the Grand Hotel which is a gradual climb rather than taking the steep footpath. The views from the gardens of the sea and pier is worth the climb! Access to the cable car to the summit of the Great Orme is from the gardens, or... More
I first visited happy valley gardens over 30 years ago and it was great to go back and revisit such fond memories. Its a beautiful space offering easy walks around the gardens and plenty of seats to sit back and relax with an ice cream (salted caramel is highly recommended)
The walks around the gardens can be a little difficult but are well worth it. I would rename it Pleasant Valley and it is a must see place.
Lovely place on a nice day to have a picnic or just sit and chill, flowers are lovely and they have put the wording Happy Valley in flowers, which you can see from far away.
Walk or drive up to these gardens. Stunning views with beautiful grasse areas to sit in and soak up the sun. Really lovely area. Great if you have dogs or children. Super cafe up there. Access to mini golf. Little shops. Lots of pretty walks. Have been to firework displays up here in the past - very impressive. Did not... More
It was a short visit this year but very nice. Because of mobility problems we weren't able to go everywhere but the mobility scooter did take us up into some of the gardens which was good. It is many years since we were there - when our children WERE children!
I remember Happy Valley from many years ago where, they had exellent shows on the stage there, and, you could watch, from deck chairs placed on the grass before the stage. It is a disappointment that this is no longer the case.
