First impression is of an olde worlde railway station, very quaint. The ride takes you to the top of Great Orme taking in some great views. It's a bit hairy when you've just set off travelling through very narrow and steep streets. There are a couple of other ways to get to the top; you could use the cable cars... More

Visited last Llandudno for the first to last summer. And took the tram to the Orme. Sat next to a dear old couple who told us all about the WW2 war service days so missed most of the views but enjoyed to stories God bless em. Once we reached the orme we took in the views and planned to capture... More

We travelled to Llandudno on a bright September morning. We headed for Victoria Station to catch a tram up the Great Orme. The views were superb and we had a fantastic view over the whole of Llandudno. We took loads of photos. This is Britain's only cable-hauled public road tramway. It opened in 1902. The tramcars ,that have been restored, are... More

This Victorian tram takes you half way or to the top of the Great Orme. Go one way and walk one way or take the tram both ways. you have to change trams at the halfway stop. Not very disability friendly, steps up to tram. It is after all a Victorian Tram! Don't forget the camera!

A pleasant and leisurely way to travel to the top of the Orme. The views from the top can be spectacular but you have to be lucky with the weather. A bit expensive but, like a Venetian gondola, you should do it at least once when you are in Llandudno.

Lovely trip up the Great Orme on the train, and back again too. Not advisable if you have joint/knee problems if attempting to walk up.much nicer on the train, I enjoyed it, met my party there.

Great views from the top, good attraction to pass the afternoon. Expensive and can get quite crowded with long waiting times during the peak season. On a more positive note it is a must for any member of the public.

We just love old railway lines; this tramway is very different because it is cable hauled and really really steep. Yes, the queue was daunting but the time passed eventually and up we went! There are better photo opportunities if you get a front seat on the journey down. Once you are at the top you can see the whole... More

Its been many years since I went on the tramway up to the top of the Orme, I was only a child myself and I'm in my 40's now, married with a family of my own. We went during the October half term holiday and it was a lovely sunny day, if a bit on the windy side. The cable... More
