I live in Eastbourne and enjoy walking along the pier, I go as often as I can and have been taking an interest in the work that has been ongoing since the fire.

Work going on after fire but business as usual. Some good quaint shops. Has plenty of seating so great for sitting and chilling and for budding fishermen you can hire rods. Definitely worth a visit. Watch out for the donation boxes for help with costs to rebuild.

Work has started on the fire damage to the pier, great news as we love the pier and the flower gardens

A great place even after fire damage, just take a stroll down the ages ? Especially the Victoria tea restaurant, really good, would have loved to sit in the evening with a light meal, so gracious, but closes at 6pm which is good for the UK as they do tend to close early

In view of there recent fire, they are soldiering on making the best of scary time. Lovely views across the sea and looking back to Eastbourne. Wasn't too crowded and the usual sea side shops to browse around.

The Victorian Tea Rooms on the pier did good value, tasty food but the menu options weren't extensive. But for a quick bite of some old fashioned brit favorites (Egg mayo sandwhiches, toasted tea cakes scones and the like) it was fine and very good prices

Part of the pier was burnt down last year, and has not been repaired fully, which is a shame. The rest of the pier is intact and has some quaint little shops on it. As it was a hot day,it was nice and breezy on the pier.

Lovely food great staff and quality service. The food is Traditional tea room but freshly made and the scones are lovely. Prices are reasonable. Will return when in Eastbourne again

Lovely pier, but sadly damaged by fire last year so has been closed. Not sure if it's open again yet. But going to Eastbourne in couple of weeks so will see.
