I visited Stavanger and we toured this part of town. It is a lovely neighborhood for strolling and photo opts. Stavanger is a gorgeous town, but very expensive as you might hear. But it's worth a visit and stay. Luckily I had family so I escaped the hotels and their rates. More

Nice walk, especially if the weather is good. to think it was all going to be torn down at one point to build 'new'. Really glad that didnt' happen. More

We wandered happily around Gamle Stavanger one afternoon. It is an easy and charming stroll for any age and fun to step back in time to see the tiny streets and lovely homes. It also offers a very nice view of the city, as it's on a hillside. Enjoyed it very much. More

Walking around in Old Stavanger is absolutely amazing. Restored wooden houses, flowers and narrow cobblestoned roads. Just a few minutes outside city centre. More

The old town is the most charming place in Stavanger, just a minute from the fish market. Walk along narrow alleys, between tiny, white traditional houses. And the best thing about it: It's free! A must do when in Stavanger. More

Cosy old town with small, white houses. Some small art galleries, but not much else there. More

it was a very nice little walking area. You really can't get lost...even if you want to. Everyone is nice, the stores aplenty and the time well spent on a nice morning or afternoon. More
