A pleasant aquarium with a good collection of local fish. Fascinating to see cod, haddock and others close up. We visited briefly as part of a shore excursion during a voyage up the coast of Norway. We arrived just in time to see the fish being fed in the largest tank, thoroughly enjoyed by a large crowd and all the... More

We go to this spot several times each year, and we really enjoy it. This is the most kid-friendly activity we have in Aalesund, and an absolute must for travelers visiting our city. They have recently added both penguins and seals in large outdoor basins. Be sure to fish crabs, feed the fish in the smaller tanks, watch the feeding... More

We rented a car from AAlesund. Went to Molde (took a ferry) and just continued to Bud and then took the whole road. It was raining (unfortunately) and was arther cold, but eventually stopped raining so we made some excellent photos. Did the bridge couple of times back and forth. The sea was calm (although we hoped for some waves).... More

We enjoyed aquarium a lot! There was amazing variety of fishes. We liked especially the show then the divers were swimming with them. I am sure it will be lots of fun for kids. Penguins outside looked quite poor and lethargic but overall it was a pleasant experience.

Visited as part of a JULY 2013 cruise as a last minute (literally day before) alternate port. We checked at the port and discovered the bus that belongs to the aquarium was the best value to and from the aquarium and port. What a brilliant afternoon we had. Our children really enjoyed being able to touch and feel the creatures... More

Being a first timer to the huge kinds of aquariums, i loved this place to bits. Was a bit hesitant coz of mixed reviews here plus the steep prices but took a chance n i was glad i did. Very nicely maintained, clean glass exhibits and the fish(es) were defntly not crowded. Loved the homophile manta-ray in the open tank... More

Okay, so it's not the Atlanta Aquarium, or even Baltimore, but they've got a really nice set up and the fish look very healthy. Being from the US, it was nice to visit an aquarium in a different country and see the different types of fish they house. Granted, not all the fish/birds/reptiles are native to that area as they... We went with two children in primary school age. Had an excellent experience. Penguins, cod, seals and 1.000+ lbs halibuts. You can feed and pet dancing fish. Admission is steep, but this is Norway.
