Being a first timer to the huge kinds of aquariums, i loved this place to bits. Was a bit hesitant coz of mixed reviews here plus the steep prices but took a chance n i was glad i did. Very nicely maintained, clean glass exhibits and the fish(es) were defntly not crowded. Loved the homophile manta-ray in the open tank... More

Okay, so it's not the Atlanta Aquarium, or even Baltimore, but they've got a really nice set up and the fish look very healthy. Being from the US, it was nice to visit an aquarium in a different country and see the different types of fish they house. Granted, not all the fish/birds/reptiles are native to that area as they... We went with two children in primary school age. Had an excellent experience. Penguins, cod, seals and 1.000+ lbs halibuts. You can feed and pet dancing fish. Admission is steep, but this is Norway.

On a roadtrip with friends I had the chance to visit the park. The prices are fairly steep but working in the business we got to see the park for free - and it was awesome! I saw the park out of season but everything was on place. This place has a great variety of species, known and unknown. Let... More

One of the best aquarium visited so far. Of a reasonable size so that everything can be seen in 2hrs with the kids. interesting activites for them such as the touch pool in the activity room. Displayed sea life is very well representing the North Atlantic ecosystems! Really worth a visit if you are in the region.

Not just for kids, really! Some sections are truly excellent, esp on reintroduction of sea eagle in the area and open pool with several species, with turbots keen to socialise with spectators, good fun

The aquarium is located abaout ten minutes drive from the city (don't bother walking, as its quite far). Situated on the coast it is a really nice aquarium with all the Norwegian species of salt water fish. There are also penguins and some tropical exhibits. A seal pond is also under construction and should open in fall 2014. If I... More

This is a lovely aquarium for both adults and children. It has all kinds of species of fish and even a pool with penguins. I also loved the fact that it's located on the Atlantic shore. It is definitely a must see while in Alesund.
