We recently did a Norway in a Nutshell trip to Oslo, Bergen and Voss. The website itself is very good in planning a trip to the fjords. However, we did a cruise originating by a busride to a small town to catch the boat for a 3 hour cruise. The fjord itself is very average compared to other fjords I... More

Hardanger is one of Norway's main fjords. The village of Ulvik and Eidford can be visited from here. It is a fairly green fjord. From Eidfjord you can, on a coach trip, visit high up into the mountains the Voringsfoss Waterfall. We visited in May and it was thick in snow and still snowing! I think that it should be... More

Last year, we moved to what used to be a vacation house beside the Hardanger fjord. It's so serene, it gives me peace when I watch the fjord through our window. Also great place to go fishing. We caught a lot of delicious fish last year before winter and hope to catch even more this year. It's really beautiful! More

Just a tad less famous than Sognefjord and Geirangerfjord, Hardangerfjord is fantastic! Just basically more amazing Norway, with waterfalls and cute fishing huts around every corner (and there are a lot of winding corners!) See by boat or by car for maximum enjoyment. I've heard late spring is amazing because there is snow on the high mountains and flowers in... More

The all year round tour via the Fjords on a boat, the Flam railway and the train back to Bergen from Myrdal is a great day out and providers a taster for the landscape More

Absolutely stunning especially on a clear, sunny day. Beautiful and varied coastline showing Norway at its best. Beware, a very windy road with some narrow places. More
