What an amazing day... The "tour" is basically a series of joined up public transport links... Train, bus, ferry, bus tour, ferry and bus... So you have to be on your toes... There is no guide. But the route is stunning.. The highlight being the three and half hours on the ferry. Our bus driver from Voss to Ulvik was... More

We were lucky enough to have a car so we spent the night outside of Oystese. The weather was beautiful so we spent a day swimming, okay - quickly getting in and out of the fjord.

Wonderful views from tour bus. We missed the fjord boat trip, but really enjoyed the overland tour including the stave church.

What a beautiful experience we had by both bus and ferry across the fjord. We saw the villages of Os & Hatvik. Then took the ferry to Venzjaneset. The beautiful little wooden church of Hodhus was very interesting with a guide inside who explained so much of the long history. Further on we walked under the Steinsdall waterfall. So many... More

Hardanger Fjord is one of the most picturesque fjords in Norway. We drove along the winding road around the fjord in our camper van and discovered the stunning scenery, beautiful mountains and wildlife on a two week trip thru the region. It is an absolute must see destination. I'll be back again for sure!! Next time in a cruise ship... More

One of the reasons why you come to Norway. The landscape has to be seen to be believed and we have some memories captured in photographs that we will enjoy looking at for many years to come. I have done a review of Baroniet Rosendal in which I mention this fjord - there are many cruises you can buy but... More

We were fortunate to be cruising this fjord on our way out of Bergen. It is very scenic and wide with lots of small fruit orchards dotted along the coast line. There rare a number of farms and houses also. The new Hardanger bridge is a feat of engineering and looks impressive. There's a couple of inlets that we did... More
