If you are on the west coast of Norway this fjord is a MUST. Rent a car in Bergen and head out into the fjord for what have the be the most beautiful and breath taking scenery I have ever seen anywhere. The roadways in Hardanger are dotted with well marked Cultural Heritage sights, waterfalls--too many to even count most... More

We rent a car for a day-long visit to many places around Hardanger Fjord. Although you may choose different routes, almost all allow to see and photograph amazing places and to take a peek pf the Norwegian country life. Many places to stop and admire the countryside or enjoy a meal just in the lake shore.

We spent some time travelling this great place in july 2014, where the finest landscape meets mirror like lakes with clear skies and white clouds. Absolute stunning! This is the ultimate highlight of our trip to Scandinavia.

We took Hardangerfjord Express. It is the boat cruise from Bergen city center to Rosendal in the Hardangerfjord and back to Bergen. The trip takes about 2 hours one way with 3.5 hours available in Rosendal where you can stroll around the beautiful village, visit the Barony and rose garden and/or take a hike in the beautiful scenery. We were... More

We chose this tour having the most time on the fjord and visited charming little towns along its shore on this high speed ferry. Be sure to wear warm jackets and hats to be outside for the views and photo shoots. Take the optional trip to the nature museum- great 3D movie of the flora & fauna of the area.

June was a great time to visit the fjord, while some winter snow remained. Magnificent. I had no idea this area was so beautiful

My family and I rented a car and spent each night in a different place. We could not have done it better. We had a little help from trip advisor fellows and they were very welcomed. The hard anger Fjord is beautiful. Totally worthy it.

I was part of the Bergen-Norheimsund-Voss bicycle race and rode all along the roads on Hardanger Fjord. It was amazingly beautiful and it something to do if you are up for a long bike ride. From Bergen to Voss it is 163K and from Norheimsund (where the fjord starts), it is 78K.
