We took a walk from the hospital/ laboratorium. Interesting-challenging paths. To walk up was no problem, to walk down was different story. To install hiking signs in some places would be a great time-saver. Overall the experience was great.

A must see take a tour bus from the fish market and get the cable car to the summit. Get amazing 360 views of the mountains and the fjords. Great for walking or just taking photos. There is a nice cafe at the top.

I am nervous of heights so was a bit worried about the cable car, but it wasn't too bouncy! There is a seat at the back for a few people The views are amazing and I have this as a must see on a visit to Bergen. We took the tourist bus from the centre which was a bit expensive,... More

2 options to get up Mt Ulriken - Cable Car or Walk. There are various walks available from easy to more demanding and difficult. The quickest route is the cable car and a return costs NOK150 for an adult. The journey is slow and steady and although it was quite breezy when we went up, the car did not sway... More

I jogged/walked from my hotel at Bryggen, early in the morning. When I came to the trail, I took the shortest route and it was very uphill and not very good for walking, because of a very stony path. The view at the top was nice, even if ther was fog covering all the fjods and towns. It was a... More

Fantastic views from the top. Beware - it is cold and windy even in August. The top is geared up for hiking - but the views are worth the trip even if yoy don't want a hike.

Right, I don't do cable cars. I hate them. They really do freak me out. However, my Mrs loves them and she talked me into going up Ulriken on the cable car (the things we do for love). The journey takes about 5 minutes up the mountain. This 5 minutes was spent gripping the sides of the car and looking... More

Took the cable car with views a tad more impressive than the funicular ride. The bonus being on Mount Ulriken, to walk and explore envy the country cottages perched on the plateau ... find oneself eye to eye with the hang gliders. Then make the descent, stopping to savour the view and admire the locals running up and around the... More

We visited mt. Ulriken last week. It is an amazing place, one must visit it while in Bergen. We went up with a cable car but I have seen many people walking all the way up. Once you are at the top, there is a lot to do. You can walk around, there are some very beautiful lakes and views... More
