I did it with great weather in April. Still a little snow on top, but nice. Formidable views to the Fjord and snow covered mountains on the other side, and really a great hike. But be aware: it is still a mountain hike, not a stroll in the park. Go prepared, and look out for a very steep descent towards... More

Beautiful Bergen is my hometown and Mount Ulriken is a must to visit if you stay in Bergen. This is the place where you got the best view of this beautiful city! From the viewing platform on the top, you have uninterrupted panoramic views of Bergen and the sea, fjords and mountains that surround the city. The Ulriken643 takes you... More

Excellent view from the top - open cafe with good service and possible to enjoy your brown-bag lunch! We took the cable car up and down but if you have time, good hiking boots and physic you should walk one of the ways! More

A winter wonderland in the winter months! Just amazing snow, cabins, and views. In the summer you feel more free to walk around and enjoy more views and hikes! More

If you want a good view of the city, climb Mount Ulrikken. Use your feet or pay an absurd amout to get to the top by cable car. More

Ulriken is my favorite place in Bergen. After a nice hike up to the top of Ulriken mountain (trails are easy to find, good marked and takes around 1.5h) one can sit back and relax with an awesome view and a cup of good coffee or beer at the Ulriken restaurant. When visiting in wintertime, one can take funicular to... More

Great to hike and gives you an amazing view on a clear day. I go as much as I can. The funicular is a it pricey- so better strap on your hiking boots and follow the locals up one of the many trails. More

Take the cable car from Haukeland to Mount Ulriken. From there, you can walk down several paths, depending on how far you want to walk. Almost all mountain-tops have stone cairns, signposts / direction guides, and if you enjoy hiking, you should try walking from Mount Ulriken to Mount Floeyen (appx 3-6 hrs). Remember to bring food & water, and... More

The restaurant is poor, but the scenery is excellent, unless there are bad weather (which happens quite often). More
