Mount Ulriken is the highest of the 7 mountains around Bergen, 643 meters above sea level. The view is just fabulous. There is a bus from the city center. You can choose to walk up if you are in normal shape. You can also go by tramway. At the top you can also by excellent food from Ulriken643 restaurant.

Took the local bus to the cable car rather than the tourist bus. Not totally obvious where to go when disembarked and a bit of a hike but we made it. The tourist bus bus stops right outside. Cable car trip fun and spectacular views from the top. Worth the journey.

We bought a combined ticket for the cable car and a bus from Bergen port. Not cheap, but nothing in Norway is. Good views from the top cable car station.

Mount Ulriken is really nice place with the beautiful view to Bergen. If you have enough time, don't waste your money for funicular (special, if it's windy, then this is not so good experience) but use one of some paths to the mountain.

Mount Ulriken is worth a visit. We took the cable car up to the top for a nice view of Bergen. You can get some classic photos from here on a clear day. There are a lot of trails at the top of Mount Ulriken, you can walk amongst the heather and rocks (there are no trees at the top)... More

If you don't want to take and/or to pay for the cable-car, you can have a nice hike to Ulriken Mount. A bit steep but enjoyable with a great view on top.

We took the cable car up to Mount Ulriken, which is 150 NOK (18 USD) per person return. Mount UIriken was the third and last mountain we've visited on our tour to Bergen after being to Stoltzekleiven and Fløyen. The weather that day was foggy and since we have seen the beautiful city of Bergen from both the other mountain... More

A must see take a tour bus from the fish market and get the cable car to the summit. Get amazing 360 views of the mountains and the fjords. Great for walking or just taking photos..The trip to Ulriken is by a blue bus from very close to the Tourist Information centre. It has a glass roof and is possibly... More

got the cable car up and were a bit disappointed. Then again, the infamous Bergen clouds did come over just as we got to the top. On a clear sunny day it's probably stunning. We did see people walking up - which I think would be best done with a guide given Bergen's reputation for rain and cloud: you wouldn't... More
