Mount Ulriken is the highest of the 7 mountains surrounding Bergen, at 643 meters above sea level. If you are fit, you should hike it, as the view from the top is so much more rewarding when you had to sweat for it. The hike is quite steep, but not a problem if you are reasonably fit. If you are... More

Cabin ride up nice and not scary at all, even if you have vertigo issues. And the views from the mountain very beautiful, see more than from the Mt. Floyen. Unlike tourist info told us there are plenty of hiking trails up around Ulriken! And the trails were great, nice scenary all the way. Even nice lambs came to say... More

The views from Mount Ulriken are not to be missed. If go to Bergen do this trip. You can catch the Mount Ulriken bus from just round the corner from the Fish Market and can buy a combi ticket for the return bus and cable car ride. We had to wait about 25 minutes to catch the cable car as... More

We enjoyed the views up here and also did some walking - there are a lot of trails but even though we followed the guide book from the tourist information we still got lost! The trails are not well marked and turn off points are easily missed! Lovely scenery though and great to feel you are out in the mountains... More

Nice ride up and down in cable car. Fantastic views of Bergen. Could have stayed all day. Unfortunately, I can't walk very far but it looked like there are some great hikes from here.

We spent an evening here and hiked for a couple hours, partly along the Vidden trail. Incredible views of Bergen, the water, and the mountains. Great way to spend a late afternoon. I understand if the cruise ships are in, the line can be very long. We experienced no line at all at about 5PM.

There are several ways to get on top, and it's a nice sweat on the way up. You feel you put some effort into it, but not that much that you feel like you're dying. And I am referring to very occasional hikers. The locals seem to do it when they are walking their dog out.

We went the longest trip from Mount Floyen to Ulriken. It was very hard with many ups and downs. There are very beutiful views on the way to Ulriken but as we were too tired after 5 hours of Vidden, we just wanted to get down as fast as possible. Wasnt worth it. My toes still remember that hell.

Be carefull. I you walk on the way back, make sure you take the proper shoes ! We liked the view over Bergen but found exaggerated the fact the parking was not free.
