As a tour destination: It will take you roughly 40min from where the cabelcar starts to the top. If you are to take the bus from downtown Bergen; take bus nr 2 and go of @ the Haukeland stop (by the hospital). The view is great on sunny days. Bring clothes - it could be windy up there. From the... More

We went on a cruise to Norway and decided to go up on this as part of an excursion. The views from the top are outstanding. We just wished that we could have stayed longer up there. The weather wasn`t too bad but it did start to rain as we were coming back down.

Exciting panoramic views, scottish landscape, hiking opportunities, but unpredictable weather. While it was warm and dry in the city center, it was a real storm up there! Rain showers with strong gusts of wind. The cable car was interrupted because of these weather conditions. So please check up the weather before going up there.

Took the Ulrikbanen to get up here- the sights were absolutely astounding. The tickets would run you about 150 NOK (25USD) or so for a roundtrip. However, if you are planning on doing the Vidden trail then get a one way ticket for this and the Fonicular

It is the highest mountain can be reached with Ulriken Cable car just outside the city center. If you visit Ulriken, we recommend a meal at Restaurant Sky:skraperenon top. It has a stunning view and delicious food!

We had a sunny windless day, which made the trip and the view absolutely great--could see for kilometres in every direction, which made the seating area outside the cafe at the top an ideal sunbathing location. We were obviously pretty lucky all round-- no wait on either the way up or down, after arriving at the cable car at around... More

We caught the #2 local bus from behind the Grand Terminus Hotel (go to the street behind the hotel and walk about 200 meters south to the bus stop). The bus takes 10 minutes and will drop you below the entry to Mt Ulriken, and you then walk uphill for about 10 minutes. It's well signposted. We went on a... More

If you have to choose a couple of things to do in Bergen, this one is definitely a one to choose. Mount Ulriken has an exceptional view and a divine restaurant on its top. Also, you can hike up there. It is really amazing.

the view from the top cannot be beat - on a clear day, you feel like you can see forever. I really wish that I had worn better shoes this day when we went to the top of Mt. Ulriken so that I could have done a bit more hiking around the top than I did. It was cool to... More

We went to tourist information to find out about this trip and got tickets from there and they pointed us in the right direction for the local bus. We got straight on the cable car and up to the top, and a walk we went for coffee and sat and enjoyed the view. Its well worth it.
