A great way to see over Bergen. If a senior citizen make sure you get a reduced rate. We only travelled up on the funicular, try and get the fist seat at the rear of the train as you look down on spectacular views as you ascend to the top. At the top pick up a trails leaflet and walk... More

We arrived on a busy day with people queuing down the street. Having got our ticket there was still a long queue in the tunnel to reach the funicular. There are only 2 cars but they hold about 75 people each and one goes every couple of minutes, so don't be put off by many people waiting. The steady climb... More

The funicular ride up to Mount Floyen was breath taking. At the top , one can have unlimited view of Bergen city as well as the various waterways and the bridges. Good camping area for the day. Also nice walking tracks . Don't feel like coming down to town. Excellent opportunity for photographers

We visited Bergen on what they described as one of the sunniest days in recent memory (June 16, 2014) so we decided to hike up Mount Floyen for the panoramic view from the top. Even though the hike took a little longer than expected and was a nice bit of cardio, the hike was worth the effort. Because of the... More

It is cheap 85kr or half with a Bergen card. Very well organised with queueing but well controlled and quick. Swiftly up to the top the view is fantastic and worth every penny. Did not buy drinks at to but cafe looked good. Stronly recommended.

Took the ride up on the Funicular to enjoy the view but were disappointed that It was raining and very windy, making photo-taking difficult. It would have been lovely to spend time on a sunny day for an aerial view of Bergen. We decided to stretch our trip there and must have followed a less popular trail down since we... More

The views are spectacular and despite the fact I hate heights I am very glad I made the effort to take the funicular to the top of the mountain. It's breathtaking.

On a clear day the view of Bergen and the harbor is well worth the trip. Easy to walk to the entrance and runs continuously so stay as long as you want
