Really nice to go to the top of Floien. The Floibanen is expensive but enjoy it if you cannot walk to the top. After Floien you can go for longer tour like Rundemannen or Vidden to Ulriken and a lot of other tour.

We rode the funicular up Mt. Floyen and walked down. The top was pretty commercialized, but the views were excellent.

Fløyen is one of the seven mountains surrounding Bergen and its viewpoint is about 320m above sea level. We came here walking from Stoltzekleiven, which takes about an hour. Stoltzekleiven is less busy than Mount Floyen and offers an amazing view as well. I strongly recommend to take the exhausting but cool 30 minutes hike up to Stoltzen and walk... More

The ride up was quick, comfortable and safe. Much of the view is obscured by the structure of the passage way. However, the view from the top is spectacular and the surrounding grounds are lovely. Gift shop, restaurant and small playground at the top.

If you want to skip the lines for buying tickets then go to the Tourist Center in the Harbor (next to the fish market) before heading to the Floibanen. You can get tickets for this, and many other attractions, at the Tourist Center all at once and not pay a mark up. The ride up the hill on the Flobanen... More

We bought tickets for the ride up early in the day as read that ticket queues would be bad later on but when we returned the only slight queue was for the train up. We were lucky to go on a clear day and the view was spectacular. We were on a slightly tight schedule as needed to go straight... More

Very much enjoyed both the view from the top, and the rides up and down. Was very crowded when we were there, but it was a beautiful day. Many people actually hike up and the trails were very well maintained. A large restaurant at the top. The view of Bergen harbor and the fjord is astounding. We could see the... More

Loved the front seat looking down the mountain, well worth waiting for the next train. Looking upwards isn't so pleasurable

We knew the view of Bergen would be amazing, so we took some time on a Sunday to ride the funicular up the hill. The wait was short to wait for the train up and it was slightly crowded on board, but not too bad. On top, the view was better than great. It was amazing. We had a beautiful... More

It's best in the a.m. on a clear day. Great views of the city, suburbs and the harbor; restaurant; and the opportunity for walks
