Living in Bergen, I can absolutely recommend a trip there. Mount Floien is a mountain overlooking the Bergen City centre. The view is great, and at the top There are nice walking paths with beautiful nature. Great for children and adults alike, and also fit for strollers. On the top there is a restaurant, a playground and a nice little... More

This funicular has got a long history, but today it is very up to date technologically. It takes you up to one of the cities 7 mountains. Both the trip and the view is incredible.

What a lovely trip this is, but beware of the long queues in front of the funicular in tourist season May-August. Stunning view over Berge. Bellavista restaurant albeit quite pricey for foreigners. Beautiful forest and lakes accessible even to kids, without special equipment or sporty clothing. The mountain is wonderful almost at any season. If you wish, bring your own... More

The Funicular to Mount Fløien gives you a ride to specacular views - unless the clouds are really low of course. See all of Bergen and surrounding islands from up top. But don't stop there, do as the locals and go for a hike through the woods and maybe even up to the nearest mountains Rundemanen and Blåmanen. Suddenly you... More

We went up the funicular because they had closed the cablecar because of high winds. The funicular is most impressive and the view from the top would have been fantastic in good conditions. Nonetheless it was surreal as the city, harbour and cruise ship appeared and dissapeared as the cloud swirled. So fast did the conditions change that i have... More

The incline railway is one of the few left in the world and provides the option of going all the way, one-way, or part-way. The railway begins at the heart of the old sentrum right near the UNESCO site than takes you up a beautiful incline until you reach the spectacular view from the top. There is a restaurant up... On a clear day well worth the trip. The view of Bergen and surrounding mountains and fjords well worth it. Restaurant/cafe place closed which was a shame. Touristy shop has coffee machine inside.

Even on a wet day, it was worth doing this trip. Frequent service in both directions so no waiting around. Excellent views of the Bergen area.

This is great if the weather is good but if not views are limited. In the close season not much to do once up there.
